Hi Bebe, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
What do you do when you’re the teenage daughter of a brilliant scientist and can’t find any skincare products to help with hormonal teenage skin? You make it yourself! Founded by truly yours and developed by my father, Facial Nova’s groundbreaking beauty system utilizes a technology that turns hydrophobic (non-water loving) molecules into hydrophilic (water loving) molecules. This tech permits all those valuable oil-based herbal molecules to be in a water-based product.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
I just started High School when my father and I worked diligently together and created the genesis of my company Facial Nova. There are plenty of projects in which plans can change throughout the process, however, more can be compared to the unknown fear of a virus that created worldwide havoc. During the pandemic, like many teenagers, I learned the real feeling of being alone, losing someone we love and watched our world progressively change into what we would of never imagined. School, sports, and friendship was no longer an option instead, it became a social zoom anxiety nightmare. I locked myself in my room and anxiety grew in me like the plague which many teens suffered from. After months of hiding my growing anxiety, I decided to talk about it with my parents and it was a relief. At that moment, I wanted a natural supplement to deal with anxiety and we made it happen; we called it FN’ Sunshine. Made from natural extracts like EGCG, Quercetin, CoQ10 and vitamins. I shifted my product line because of a change of the direction of our developing community and concerns. We also developed a unique natural sleep aid since many teens don’t get enough sleep that will not cause grogginess with infused Omega’s and other antioxidants to fortify the skin as one sleeps. We also formulated immune and cognitive products that fortify the skin while they enhance our body and mind respectively.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I spend a lot of time with my father in his laboratory learning about inflammation and advancing the quality of pharmaceutical drugs and consumer products. I am involved in a variety of sports. I like hanging out with my family and friends, and I love baking. I really want to get a medical degree and work in medicine.
Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
A very important lesson that I learned during the covid 19 crisis that sticks with me till this day is to never give up. It was hard starting off as a small business during such an emotional time in this world. It definitely took a lot of patience to build and create the amazing company and supporters I have today. I am very glad that I set my mind to stay strong during the hard days and nights to introduce the world my company. So it’s easy to say that during such an arduous journey with the covid 19 crisis, it taught me a lesson to keep your heart and mind in unison as you attempt to do the impossible, simply never give up.
