Today we’d like to introduce you to Scott Kress.
Hi Scott, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started doing Youtube when I was in High School! I did that for almost two years I wanna say, but wasn’t having much success. I found out about Tiktok and thought it would be a great way to promote my youtube channel. My first/second TikTok (I forgot which one) ending up blowing up and got like 800k views. I was posting pretty inconsistently and would have a viral video every now and then. but during quarantine, I started posting a lot more and started gaining a following!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
For the most part yes! Although when I was in high school, I do remember some people making fun of me for doing youtube (thankfully, it wasn’t a lot and some people were really supportive). And along the way of growing, I’ve definitely had some bumps in the road but nothing that was too major.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
It’s so weird to say that I make TikTok for a living, but that’s literally what I do LMAO. I do post on other social media platforms like Instagram, Snapchat, and Youtube, but I am definitely most known for my Tiktok account where I post skits! I think I’m most proud of just how much I’ve been able to grow. Looking back when I was in high school doing my youtube channel, I had wanted so badly to be able to do what I am now, and it’s just crazy to think about how far I’ve come since then.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I was literally a whole different person personality-wise lmao. I also did competitive gymnastics growing up and still love to go to open gym when I get the chance, just to play around! I can’t do a lot of the stuff I used to be able to, but it’s still a lot of fun!
