Today we’d like to introduce you to Carlos Demond Davis.
Carlos, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’m a Published Author of 3 books on Amazon (Conscious Mentality, Poetic Visions, Prisms Of Thoughts) I feel like my path to where I am now, would be a unique story and could be a great biopic consisting of a lot of near misses.
I started as a collegiate athlete that chased pro football aspirations but never quite got there, which lead me to professional modeling and finally led me to the world of acting, and of course during all the near misses of superstardom lol my writing kept me sane, and thus I’m a hybrid creator because my life’s journey is a combination of all those things.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Hindsight is always the best vision, so looking back on it, it seems like a smooth ride, but man oh man going through, the ups and downs, sleepless nights, hunger pains, and major disappointments. They showed me that while it wasn’t easy and honestly it never will be, I’m ok with the pains, heartaches, betrayals, etc. because they made me who I am today.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a hybrid creator, meaning a published author and an actor. I specialize in writing poetry, all 3 of my books are full of poems. I’m most proud of all my accomplishments in the entertainment industry as well as my books because I know how much work I put in.
The thing that sets me apart from others is my praying family, I truly believe without the prayers of my family, especially my Granny(Madear) and my Mother I would have thrown in the towel years ago, especially when I was at my lowest, those prayers got me through.
What do you think about happiness?
My answer is simple poetry music and of course(my family) my mother and my brother are my happy. I want to make my Mother proud and for her to never have to work hard ever again just kick back relax and enjoy life. I want to be the best example possible for my younger brother so that he knows hard work pays off and to stack dream after dream after dream never be satisfied with average.
