Today we’d like to introduce you to Olivia Noceda.
Olivia, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
In 2016, I started an instagram that was purely photos of food. I quickly became excited at the idea of styling recipes and grew a following quickly. In the fall of 2016, I started my Master’s program to become a Speech-Language Pathologist and became much too busy to handle Instagram + grad school all at once. I very randomly took a year long hiatus to focus on my studies. In July of 2017, after moving back to LA and the sun gracing me with its presence, I decided that I was in a place of peace with myself, my body, my studies, etc and could begin posting again. This time, though, it would be different. What was once only food turned into a culmination of lifestyle, fitness, food, and inspiration — I now use my instagram as a way to be creative, but most important to inspire others to live their best lives through being grateful for everything they have. My instagram is now, instead of a recipe book, a journal of my life.
Has it been a smooth road?
Every day presents a new challenge – with it, comes anxieties and excitements. I would say that this is the bumpiest road I’ve ever been on. My advice is to take each bump with grace and gratitude, trusting that where you are now is where you are supposed to be.
Please tell us more about what you do, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
On Instagram, I am known for being a content creator that provides inspiration to others for how to live your best, most well-lived life through gratitude. On the “street” (haha), I am a Speech-Language Pathologist! I work with children from ages 0-15, doing hour long therapy sessions to aid in all types of language disorders. I would say that what sets me apart is that while I live a very beautiful life, I work HARD for it. Working in the medical setting can be very taxing, and the burn-out is real. adding a full-time instagram to the mix is tough, but through gratitude and the wonderful community of people who follow along, I am able to get through it gracefully!
Two things you can always find when you come to my page:
1. a morning coffee pour on my story with smooth, creamy, frothy nut milk & my song of the day
2. a video on my story that is dedicated to breathwork and reminding people to breathe
Who do you look up to? How have they inspired you?
MOM. #1. she is everything I ever hope I can be and more. she exudes gratitude, wisdom, love & kindness. I work harder every day to be like she is.
Heidi Ochoa. My college speech & debate coach. She is a warrior in all things and I look up to her as an older sister and confident.
My Aunt. she is the most selfless person I know.
@sammyjaneeason. My best friend. We met through Instagram and she is showing women every day the realities of motherhood.
