Today we’d like to introduce you to No Better Events. Them and their team share their story with us below:
No Better Events, an LGBTQIA+ curated events company — for everyone, came into fruition from a desire to attend events that we couldn’t find. After constantly searching for specific events we realized that they just didn’t exist and if we want to go to them, we were just going to have to create them ourselves. Our SIP N’ PAINT’s were our first concept and are what we are currently most known for. We love art in all its forms, whether it be visual, performance, drag, or the human body. We took an already existing concept, sipping on a drink while painting, and made it Queer. Our SIP N’ PAINTS feature nude models, a paint instructor, a DJ, and a hilarious drag queen host. Every NBE event is a safe place for all while catering to the LGBTQIA+ community. Our events are fun, safe, inclusive and above all else made for everyone to enjoy. We went to hundreds of events and often have felt that the events were not being created with our community in mind. We are proud to be creating new events focused on the joy we feel as a part of the LGBTQIA+ community.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Our journey with the company has been fantastic. The only real frustration has come from the difficulty of advertising on social media. Unfortunately, LGBTQIA+ branded companies are often marked for additional review or rejected entirely. Despite those frustrations, we are lucky to be a part of such an incredible community that knows how to champion its own.
We’ve been impressed with No Better Events, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We are most proud of the safe space we’ve created at our events. I can’t describe in words the immense feeling of joy that we feel from seeing LGBTQIA+ couples and friends having the time of their lives. Seeing members of our community feeling safe to be their authentic selves at an event you created is a highly rewarding feeling. With all the division in our world, it’s nice to build a space where people can escape. Beyond that, we would like people to know that we offer events from vendor pop-ups to live performances to networking events. There really is something for everyone to enjoy!
