Community Highlights: Meet Meredith Allan Breitstein of The Meredith TV Show

Today we’d like to introduce you to Meredith Allan Breitstein. Meredith and her team share their story with us below:

Meredith Allan Breitstein’s driving passion is inspiring her audience members and clients to live intentional lives filled with dreams come true.

She knows first-hand how life’s setbacks and curveballs can create challenges that feel hard to overcome. Raised by hard-working parents who moved frequently, she quickly realized she had to fight to make her own dreams become a reality.

A six-time award-winning motivational speaker, Meredith is also a seasoned TV journalist, leadership trainer, and talk show host. She has worked on FOX, ABC, NBC, CBS, and CNN affiliates across the country. Companies worldwide, such as Marriott and The United Way, seek her expertise in publicity, marketing, messaging, and media.

After more than a decade of public speaking, Meredith has the unique ability to raise the energy in an audience. She tells relatable and motivational stories from her past, such as how moving 14 times before college taught her to adapt to change. In addition to lifting up others through in-person keynote and motivational speeches, she reaches an expanded audience through her Amazon Prime Video Special called The Magic in Change on the series Speak UP.

Beyond sharing her own stories, Meredith has dedicated her life to helping others share theirs. Meredith started The Meredith TV Talk Show, which debuted on NBC in 2015, to give others a platform to grow their businesses and gain visibility. The show airs online all over the world on YouTube, Roku, Apple+TV, The Motivation & Success TV Network, and Amazon Fire TV.

Meredith became hooked on helping people with marketing after she was contracted to help her first client, a doctor, save lives in a Cancer Awareness Campaign. The results were so rapid that her client raised his revenue from 1.2 million to 2.6 million dollars in just nine months. From that moment on, Meredith has enjoyed using her talent for charity and has raised capital during live TV fundraisers for The Make-a-Wish Foundation and Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Meredith’s newest talk was just picked up on the TEDx stage called Don’t Waste a Minute- Shine RIGHT NOW. This speech was inspired after Meredith helped thousands of clients get unstuck during the pandemic, as they suffered from overwhelm, and anxiety causing them to postpone dreams and delay goals. In her new TEDx, Meredith makes a compelling case that we need to share our gifts with urgency right now, not next week, next year or later.

Obsessed with helping her audience members shine, Meredith has launched “Shine Events” where her fans and clients fly in from all over the world to connect in real life here in her hometown of Los Angeles. She leads workshops where her clients learn how to powerfully share their stories on TV and then share their inspiring stories on The Meredith Show that tapes on location in Marina Del Rey and other fun sites in Los Angeles. She holds connection events on yachts, sailboats, and other beautiful waterfront locations every month too. When she not working you can find her chasing sunsets with her family on the beach.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I have had my company for 10 years, and losing my dad to Pancreatic Cancer almost took me down. What helped me make it through that heartache was a knowing that my dad would never want me to put my dreams on hold. In just the last year I had several deaths in my family and I have found my audiences appreciate when I am honest and admit when “I am NOT alright”. I often share my struggles live online because I think being vulnerable is the biggest connection point we can have as humans. I never want to work with people who spend a ton of energy pretending they are “perfect” as we know it’s not even possible. I may live in La La land but I keep my feet planted on the ground and surround myself with friends and family who tell me what I need to hear and not necessarily what I want to hear. Perhaps one of the longest relationships I have had was with my rescue dog Biscuit. She recently passed away after 10 years of love and I became undone. I believe our loyal pets teach us so many lessons, perhaps most importantly that every day we live is a celebration and I try to remind myself that nothing is guaranteed, not one minute with a loved one and certainly not success. I talk a lot about the lessons my dog taught me in my new TED talk, and find a lot of healing in sharing heartbreaking stories with others. I am so inspired by people who overcome adversity, and I know what it feels like when life “kicks you in the pants”.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
My TV show was created after 20 years of working as a journalist on TV and Anchor. I hated reporting fires, murders and kidnappings on the nightly news. I became completely burnt out reporting on the same sad stories over and over again. I walked away from TV News and created my dream show to inspire viewers with heartwarming stories of overcoming adversity. My TV Show is very unique as it was invented to share more inspiration in the world. My guests invest in being show sponsors and in getting promotional appearances to showcase their organizations and gain visibility on TV. People truly SHINE on my show. We have a makeup and hair team and we provide promotional photos and videos for guests to share and use as “Seen On TV”. We only accept guests who are living proof that you can overcome anything.

Our guests walk away with 10-minute TV Segments they can use forever to share the stories behind their businesses and organizations. We create social media reels for our clients from their appearances. We have different levels of investment in the show, and some of guests get a big photoshoot while on set, and they love the experience. I also have the ability to have guests join from all over the world via zoom so people can choose to join us on set in person or online. I think the average viewer is very touched by the vulnerability of our guests and their amazing stories. Most people watching have no idea guests pay to sponsor the show and share their stories with the world. We are broadcast on Roku, Apple+TV Amazon Fire TV, The Motivation & Success TV Network, and on YouTube.

Any big plans?
I am excited that I was selected to do a TED talk this year, it is a dream come true for sure. I am also excited to speak all over the world and inspire big audiences in person again. My husband and I are also looking forward to growing our family too so there is a lot to look forward too! My company is gearing up to tell over 100 inspiring stories this year on television and help share our mission to help people choose to share their stories and shine RIGHT NOW!
