Today we’d like to introduce you to Javan Williams.
Javan Williams is a former professional baseball player out of the Bay Area now business owner and Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach/Specialist. The accolades are extensive but the real story is in the journey to where we are now. From being a dismissed and looked over ballplayer to one of the most well-trained and effective Strength coaches in the Bay. Being able to creative a brand (back in 2014) and make it adaptable enough to survive even during a statewide lockdown and pandemic. While everyone is staying home, gyms and sports all closed and shut down, we were able to keep people motivated and active.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Nooo it has not been a smooth road at all. There have been plenty of obstacles.
– Pandemic
– Roadblocks with getting Certified
– Not knowing what route to take after my playing career seemed to be in limbo
– Having to uproot my first facility due to landlord greed issues.
– Building a brand from the ground up.
There have been plenty of bumps in the road. But can’t let that stop the show.
We’ve been impressed with Leaders of the New School Fitness (LNSFIT), but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
LNS Fit is a brand for all Leaders! We specialize in strength and conditioning training for everyone, but also life and motivation coach to youth athletes. We take athletes from all background and put them in a training environment designed to get the best “potential” out of you. We also help to guide your ambitions and goals by being able to converse with others who have been to the highest levels of that realm and train like they would in the “pros”.
One thing I am most proud of with my brand is that I have “Leadership requirements” and for youth athletes that train here there is a GPA they must maintain or I will not train you.. with that being said, this is my two years of graduating leaders (ones that have started freshman yr-senior year) and I’m proud to say I have over 6 D1 Scholarship athletes that are going to Universities around the country and four current professional baseball athletes that have trained with LNSFIT regularly during offseasons.
I want readers to know that there is a brand out here that was built to cater to all Leaders and people looking to elevate their games, mindsets and talents.
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
Going to San Francisco to hang with my older cousins. Always wanting to beat everyone in video games and basketball games in the driveway.
