Today we’d like to introduce you to Taya – Morgan Moore.
Hi Taya – Morgan, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’ve been drawing for as long as I could remember. No matter my style, I was always drawn to faces. It wasn’t until my freshman year of high school when I joined my first art class. And in my junior year, I joined AP art. Throughout my time in high school, I started to experiment more on the style of hyperrealism. I achieved this style with prismacolor colored pencils. As of now, I’ve been creating more pieces and do occasional tutorials on my TikTok account @tayasart. One day, I want to create animations that I can put on my YouTube and Tiktok accounts in addition to my tutorials and regular art videos.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It hasn’t been too easy being consistent in making art. Sometimes I can get really unmotivated and it’ll take me longer to finish a piece than it should. I also feel like I have many doors open for me yet I don’t always know where to start, it can get overwhelming.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I do a lot of hyperrealism art with prismacolors. Sometimes I make little pieces with copic markers and colored pencils. I really like how my hyperrealism style has developed over the years. I think my style is easy to identify because the saturation in my pieces are turned up and it blends well with the medium I use.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
By this time, I’ll be creating my own stories on my YouTube channel as well as creating hyperrealistic pieces that I can sell and or create for myself. I hope that I will have found a way to balance both paths.
