Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachael Sofia.
Hi Rachael, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have been a model in the entertainment/fashion industry for about 4 1/2 years now. I started modelling for some agencies in my city and now I’ve taken on larger roles in Los Angeles and Hollywood. It feels surreal sometimes that life has gotten me here but I’m loving every step of the way through the ups and downs
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
As I mentioned, the ups and downs are a pretty natural part of life. I found when I started out it would be crazy to think I would be where I am now. I have a great support system luckily who always have been so great in helping me through the downs life throws at me.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a model for many different areas of fashion/entertainment and I have been in a few short films shown at TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival). I would say I’m most proud of myself for sticking with it even on days I thought it wouldn’t bloom into something bigger. When you’re a new model it can seem quite overwhelming being in front of such a large audience but over time, I’ve gained loads of added confidence and I’m overall very grateful for the path I’m on. What sets me apart from others is hard to say, I believe everyone is an individual so in a way where we can all relate on things we are quite individualistic.
Any big plans?
This is always a daunting question haha. I would say I’m planning to keep growing in my career and creating the future I’m happy to live in.
