Today we’d like to introduce you to Maddy Cristall.
Hi Maddy, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am a story coordinator, screenwriter and music journalist. I am passionate about the beautifully bizarre, wonderful weirdos and unique underdogs that make this world more compelling. I started by writing about music due to my unreasonable love for words about sound.
I started a rag tag blog, eventually got published, worked for a major Canadian company that fuelled my fire. My love of writing about music developed into writing for the silver screen which I find endlessly fascinating.
I am now working as a story developer for unscripted television for an unbelievable network and couldn’t be happier. I got here through a perfect storm of dumb luck, a lust for life and people who believe in my wild dreams.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been a long road paved with some struggles which has only made the drive more scenic.
Is there anything else we should know about what you do?
I am a story coordinator and producer for unscripted television. I find and develop stories that celebrate how life’s most interesting characters are non-fictional.
