Check Out Brianna Porter’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brianna Porter.

Hi Brianna, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was serving and bartending for many years before I got my Real Estate license which went hand in hand with my bachelor’s degree in Interior Design. Business was good and I love what I do. The pandemic hit and my specialty at the time, which was first-time homebuyers, came to a hault. Buyers were unsure of their futures and pay. So, I started to provide a service to our neighborhood that was lacking. COFFEE. I opened a mobile coffee cart from my driveway and tried to bring a neighborhood together that felt so isolated during a time when people craved human connection. That gig eventually spurred into my current online retail business, Porter’s Voyage, and a now thriving Real Estate business.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
NO! Wouldn’t we all love smooth sailing? With my RE business coming to a halt during the start of COVID, I needed to find a way to supplement that income and still do something that brought me joy. Transitioning my coffee business into something larger and legit was way harder than expected. Working with the city during the pandemic was a little difficult. And like many people, juggling a family, being a good partner, building a business and rebuilding a struggling RE business has been trying on all of us. Finding balance is truly an art. Finally, getting over the bumps in the road and starting to see the light. I do expect more difficulties in the future but now I know how to tackle them.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m so proud of Porter’s Voyage. It is a brand new company. I’ve only had a few hands full of sales but I am just so extremely proud that I took the leap to start something that I was passionate about. We’re starting off with Candles & coffee. And my goal is to provide products for all aspects of your day, from morning to night. Relaxation (candles, robes, sweaters)to travel accessories necessities (loungewear, travel kits, travel-size luxury goods) that make life easier and more joyful. The goal of my company is to really allow people to take time for themselves and enjoy all of the small and big moments alike. What sets us apart is that our site has a tipping feature that allows customers to leave an amount that is 100% donated to charities. From now until March all tips will be donated to Prostate cancer charities. As my father suffers from stage 4 prostate cancer. I’ll also be choosing charities that help woman with postpartum care and mental health after having babies.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
I really enjoy having the opportunity to have multi-faceted jobs that make me so happy. Being able to help others find their dream home, investment property or helping people slow down a little and enjoy all of the amazing moments in our lives. Which came about really as a need for myself to slow down and enjoy life.
