Tyler Browne on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We recently had the chance to connect with Tyler Browne and have shared our conversation below.

Tyler, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
I read my bible and go to the gym

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am a singer for the tribute bands The LA Cult (The Cult) and Plaid Reputation (Grunge Hits)

Okay, so here’s a deep one: What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
Walking down the street for the first time on my own singing Stevie Wonder’s “Sir Duke”

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
I never gave up per se, but in the mid 2000s music opportunities were almost impossible to find. It wasn’t until two years ago I saw the advert to audition for The LA Cult

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Is the public version of you the real you?
Aside from portraying the characters in the bands I tribute, I enjoy being who I am and interacting as such.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
Working. Unfortunately, I still have yet to make a full transition to playing music, which is work but also my passion. I want to travel and take in all of the art and beauty the world has to offer and continue to share what I have experienced in my life with others.
