Story & Lesson Highlights with Claudia Torres

Claudia Torres shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Claudia, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
What I’m most proud of building and what most people don’t see is integrity. Not the kind that’s meant to be seen or praised, but the quiet kind that lives in your daily choices, your boundaries, and how you speak to yourself when no one’s watching.

I’ve been building a deep foundation of integrity within me — not for others, but for myself. It’s the commitment to keep showing up with honesty, compassion, and alignment, even when it’s uncomfortable or unseen.

For me, integrity has become the truest form of self-respect. It’s how I want to move forward rooted, clear, and whole because that’s the energy I want everything I create, including Presently Aquí, to grow from!

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Claudia Torres, a bilingual Intuitive Mindfulness and Meditation Teacher, and the founder of Presently Aquí, a mindful living brand dedicated to helping people reconnect with presence, peace, and purpose. Through my offerings, I guide both adults and children to slow down, tune in, and cultivate emotional balance in a world that often moves too fast.
What makes my work unique is how I weave together mindfulness, intuition, and lived experience. With over a decade of practice and a background in hospitality, I bring a grounded yet soulful approach that meets people where they are. Whether that’s through meditation, mindful education for kids, or healing spaces that support transformation and self-discovery.
As a bilingual teacher, I’m passionate about creating inclusive and accessible mindfulness experiences for both English and Spanish-speaking communities. I’m currently growing Presently Aquí’s educational mindfulness programs designed to support emotional intelligence, self-regulation, and inner connection for both adults and children.
I also host The Presently Aquí Podcast, where I hold heart-centered conversations with teachers, healers, and visionaries about what it means to live with awareness and authenticity. My mission is simple: to help others remember their inner stillness, reconnect with their intuition, and create lives that feel aligned, mindful, and whole.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
I believe what breaks the bonds between people is disconnection — when we stop being present with ourselves and with each other. It happens when we move too fast, assume instead of listen, or let fear and ego shape our reactions. Over time, that creates distance, misunderstanding, and a sense of separation.

What restores those bonds is presence. When we take a moment to pause, breathe, and really listen — not just to respond, but to understand — we create space for empathy to enter. Mindfulness reminds us that connection isn’t about agreement; it’s about awareness. It’s about remembering our shared humanity and choosing compassion, even in moments of difference.

That simple return to awareness is what allows healing, understanding, and authentic connection to take root again.

What fear has held you back the most in your life?
For a long time, the fear that held me back the most was the fear of being seen. Not just seen for what I do, but truly seen for who I am — my voice, my beliefs, my light, and even my sensitivity.

When I first began creating Presently Aquí, I often second-guessed myself. I worried about how others would perceive this path — blending mindfulness, intuition, and spirituality in a world that sometimes values productivity over presence. I would dim parts of myself to feel safe, to fit in, or to avoid judgment.

But over time, mindfulness helped me see that hiding was its own form of suffering. I realized that my fear wasn’t protecting me it was keeping me small. Through years of practice, inner work, and trust, I’ve learned to stand more confidently in my truth and to share my voice without apology.

Now, I see visibility not as exposure, but as connection. Every time I allow myself to be seen, whether through teaching, speaking, or simply being authentic — I invite others to do the same. And that’s where the real magic and healing happen.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What truths are so foundational in your life that you rarely articulate them?
One truth that’s always guided me is that everything begins within. The peace, clarity, and love we’re looking for can’t be found outside of us — they grow from how present and compassionate we are with ourselves.

Another truth I live by is that presence itself is a form of love. When we slow down enough to truly listen, to see someone, or to be with what’s here, we’re already creating connection and healing.

These truths are so woven into who I am that I rarely need to say them out loud. They’re just the way I move through life and through Presently Aquí by returning to awareness, to love, and to the simplicity of being here, now.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
What I’ve come to understand deeply and what many people don’t realize at first, is that mindfulness isn’t just about calming the mind or managing stress. It’s the gateway to consciousness itself.

When we practice mindfulness, we’re not simply focusing on the breath or trying to feel peaceful. We’re remembering who we truly are beneath the noise — the awareness that witnesses our thoughts, emotions, and experiences without getting lost in them. That awareness is consciousness — the quiet, infinite presence that connects us all.

For me, mindfulness is a spiritual path back home to that truth. It’s how we return to the heart, how we remember that we’re not separate from life, but expressions of it. Once you experience that, even for a moment, the world feels different softer, more alive, and deeply sacred.
