We’re looking forward to introducing you to Sienna Benton. Check out our conversation below.
Good morning Sienna, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What are you being called to do now, that you may have been afraid of before?
I feel called to help bridge the gap between eastern and western medicine. Our healthcare system needs to acknowledge that there are so many patients who have already spoke to their primary care physician, they already got prescription meds, they already got tests done, and nothing worked. That is where alternative/holistic medicine & naturopathic doctors can really make a difference.
As an accreditation specialist I’m so excited that LCME is taking steps toward this. They just released the announcement for Element 7.3 to add nutrition as required part of the MD curriculum. “The structure of new Standard 7 was approved in principle by the LCME in February 2025. It has been revised based on the inclusion of Element 7.3, which was added to address the explicit requirement for content related to “nutrition”
Their new Element for 7.3 reads:
“The medical education curriculum includes content focused on factors that affect the
ability to promote and maintain health across the life cycle. This content includes the role
of nutrition in preventing and managing chronic disease, and other challenges to wellness
associated with common societal problems.”

I proposed updating it to:
“The medical education curriculum includes content focused on factors that affect the ability to promote and maintain health across the life cycle. This content includes the role of nutrition and stress management in preventing and managing chronic disease, and other challenges to wellness associated with common societal problems.”
The revision that includes new Element 7.3 was initially approved by the LCME in September 2025 and now is open for public comment.” Help support this by leaving your public comment via https://form.jotform.com/lcme/lcme-call-for-public-comment
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Alternative Medicine Practitioner, Accreditation, and Media Specialist. I’m currently working on research to collect data that supports which stress management treatments are the most effective according to science. As much as I love Reiki, breathwork, hypnotherapy, and crystals, I also value research and peer-reviewed studies that allow us to map which of these treatments are scientifically effective.
I feel we are extremely close with sound medicine. Dr. John Stuart Reid and I had a conversation about his latest work, which I’m publishing in Doctor’s Compass Magazine, and the findings are mind-blowing. My recommendation for those seeking wellness for stress, sleep, and non-invasive pain management includes meditation and sound baths. I’m also looking into research on mandala art and its effect on Veterans struggling with PTSD.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
My awakening. I used to look at the world from a “I’m supposed to do this, then do that cause society says so, and thats what my parents and grandparents did,” perspective. Not this lifetime. The system lacks complete integrity. I know everyone is hyping to “escape” it, but you still need people on the inside who can change the laws, who can change the policies, who can guide those in leadership roles in ethical directions.
Yes, take your rest, take your mental health breaks, take your vacations or a year off, do your shadow work, but remember, if you want the system and the laws to change, we need people on the inside to help make that happen.
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
Fear is what holds us all back. I have this fear of social media trolls, and it’s affected how often I release content, and what kind of content. Anyone can post a photo of a cute kitten and someone will always find something negative to say. My PR coach Heidi Cortez told me something very helpful which is, “No one more intelligent than you is going to criticize your work.”
I found that to be really helpful because someone who’s already been on the chapter I am on would more likely offer guidance and useful suggestions.
It’s funny cause I just got notes back for my Doctor’s Compass cover story from Dr. Reid, and to see his revisions made me so happy. I didn’t care that my article wasn’t perfect. He saw I made an intentional effort to understand his work. I felt so honored he took the time to send those revisions over so I could learn how to be a better writer.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
Sound medicine and frequency healing. The research is incredible and practically speaks for itself, we just need to keep pushing the treatments, keep doing the studies, build enough cases, and implement it into our healthcare system.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. If immortality were real, what would you build?
I’d restore every castle I can find and turn build walkable arboretums and gardens with butterfly sanctuaries around them.
I’d also dedicate 100’s of years to finding ancient cities, I’d definitely look for Atlantis and help uncover ruins like Troy.
I’m also pretty passionate about our planet so I’d learn how to rebuild our coral reef and pass laws to preserve natural habitats and forests.
I’d apply to NASA over and over until I got accepted to be part of the team that builds a new research station on a new planet. I’d hope we’d create a new civilization not driven by greed, but the passion for knowledge.
Also as Teal Swan says, “I’d help us to fall in love with each other again.”
