Scott Fidgett of Woodland Hills on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We recently had the chance to connect with Scott Fidgett and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Scott, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What is a normal day like for you right now?
A normal day for me starts early, I’m usually up before sunrise. I train most mornings, whether it’s CrossFit, conditioning, or recovery work, as that’s the foundation of how I stay focused and grounded. From there, my day shifts into business mode. I manage multiple companies, so I split my time between creative strategy, brand partnerships, and overseeing client campaigns across 1DS Collective, IWMD, and our athlete programs at Team Rep Scheme.

No two days are exactly the same, one day I might be on set producing content with an NFL athlete, and the next I’m reviewing marketing decks or negotiating brand deals. I also carve out time for personal growth and staying connected with my team. In the evenings, I usually wind down with something simple, spending time with close friends, planning the next phase of the business, or creating content for my own platforms that inspire others to push further in life.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Scott Fidgett, and I’m a creative entrepreneur and founder of several companies including 1DS Management, IWMD and Legacy Investors.

I started out as a professional stuntman for over a decade and over time that evolved into building brands, managing talent and creating high impact campaigns that connect people through storytelling, health and performance.

What makes my journey unique is that I came from very little, no wealth, no connections and built everything from the ground up. That perspective shaped how I approach business: with authenticity, grit and a real understanding of people’s drive to grow.

Today, 1DS specializes in brand development, influencer management, and social media growth, working with world class athletes, creators, and companies across wellness, performance, and lifestyle industries.

Right now, I’m focused on scaling our management programs, expanding our athlete division and continuing to build brands that inspire transformation, whether that’s in business, health, or personal growth.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
The relationship that’s shaped me the most is the one I’ve built with myself. It took years of failure, discipline, and self reflection to get to a place where I understood my own worth and direction. I’ve had mentors, friends, and incredible people around me, but it wasn’t until I learned to hold myself accountable, to rebuild my health, my mindset and my businesses from the ground up, that everything started to change.

That inner relationship taught me resilience, humility, and perspective. Coming from nothing, I learned that no one’s coming to save you, you have to back yourself completely. Once I did that, everything else, my companies, my fitness journey, my ability to lead, started to align naturally.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
YES. I had a company called AirWheel, we were doing incredibly well, generating millions in revenue and featured in major UK retailers like Harrods, Maplin, Menkind and Red5. But because we were inexperienced at the time, we made the decision to liquidate the company. Later, we found out it was completely unnecessary and something we should never have done.

That moment was crushing. It forced my business partner and me to question everything, our abilities, our knowledge, our decision making and even whether we were cut out for business at all.

But looking back, that failure was one of the best things that ever happened to me. It taught me humility, resilience, and the importance of truly understanding the business side of creativity. Losing everything gave me the foundation and perspective I needed to build what I have today and to do it the right way.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
Honestly, yes but maybe a little too real at times. My business partners are always telling me to tone it down with clients, but I’ve never been good at pretending to be someone I’m not. What people see publicly is pretty close to who I am day to day.

I do filter certain things, mostly weaknesses or personal struggles, but I share those with the right people in my life. I think it’s important to have that balance: being authentic and transparent, while still protecting parts of yourself that deserve privacy and care.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
Overthinking, without question. If I only had 10 years left, I wouldn’t waste a single minute doubting decisions or replaying what ifs. Life moves fast, and overthinking steals time you’ll never get back. I’d focus fully on action, experiences and the people who matter. No hesitation, no second-guessing, just living with purpose.
