Hi Will, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
When I first moved to LA seven years ago, I asked a friend if they needed a music video. They had asked if I had ever worked on one before; I lied and told them yes (confidence is key). When my first video turned out surprisingly well, I knew I had to follow this passion. Coming from a background in music, music videos were a natural Segway into the film. With passion, thousands of hours mastering the craft, and seizing every opportunity that was available, I’ve built a portfolio and a catalog of work that speak for itself. I’ve worked with artists such as The Game, Polo G, Designer, Ciara, and more, and I’ve built a repair with my clients as being one of the best in the biz in content.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely not smooth. When I first moved to LA, I had to work in a restaurant to survive, and it was soul-crushing (no offense to you servers out here). I’m a creative at heart, and it killed me to not be exercising that creativity. Even when I started doing film and photos full time, there were struggles. running your own freelance business is a constant hustle. There have been times when business was slow, and I’d have to survive on cans of tuna and pasta, but that is what you sign up for. Sometimes, when you’re following your dreams, you have to crawl through mud to get to the castle. During covid, productions shut down, businesses didn’t have budgets for video, and artists were staying quiet. But passion and perseverance will never be lost.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in all things content. Whether it be music videos/promo for artists, commercials for businesses, live events etc. People come to me because I have a unique style and top-tier quality, and I’m just generally a fun person to work with. I think I’m most proud of fulfilling my dream of running my own business, being my own boss, and doing what I love for a living. Having full creative freedom is one of the most empowering feelings in the world, and I’m so grateful that my passion and hard work have brought that to my life.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
Everything commercial is moving to social videos. Soon, TV commercials won’t be as common, so adapting to social content is a must.
