Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I always loved art since I was a little girl and since I lived in a country that expressing yourself was taboo and illegal, I turned to Art to release that tension. My Family and I eventually moved to a country that expressing yourself is your right! Moving to the States and continuing my love for Arts led me to SCAD (Savannah College of Art & Design) and there I studied Fashion Design and painting. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts, I decided to focus on Fashion and quiet my painter side, and over the years as I became successful in my fashion field, I always had the yearning for painting and creating art. That’s where painting on shoes and customizing (Roozan Studio) was born, and people loved it. So Alongside of Roozan Studio – which is a virtual art studio if you will for creating and customizing art, I am also working on a fashion project which is a high-end Leisure/loungewear that is not only unisex but size inclusive – made in here in LA! I named the brand after my favorite stuffed animal Mouliie. Mouliie’s first drop will be by the end of this year!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
By no means this was an easy journey, but I wouldn’t want it any other way. The struggle for me was always to be consistent and show up for what I believe in, regardless of what anyone else thought.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I love painting with oil paint and acrylic, and I am known for my painting on shoes as well as my paintings. In my professional job, I work for a Fashion company where I am known for being extremely detailed and have the eye for having good fitted and constructed garments.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Yes! Put yourself out there – go to Art Galleries, get to know other artists and like-minded individuals.
