Today we’d like to introduce you to Rosalind Veerapong.
Hi Rosalind, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
The business originally was purely a print management company for small businesses that, for the most part, served the Thai community. We worked with small mom-and-pop restaurants, massage salons, small concerts, and events/charity events, providing design and printing for their menus, catalogs, flyers, and other print and design jobs. I had been working as a designer and operations manager for about 5 years before the pandemic hit. During the pandemic with business being at a low, I decided to offer to take the business in a new direction. I added social media management for small businesses, reached out to a broader clientele target, and added budget printing for events such as weddings, celebrations, birthdays, and etc.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I think the pandemic probably made business difficult for everyone. Just like everyone else, we had to readjust our offerings and see what would work in the world we now live in. Since the pandemic, some things have returned, and others have taken a turn permanently, good and bad. But I think I quite like continuously evolving; I am all for moving with society and technological advances/changes.
Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Currently we offer design and printing for businesses from small to large corporates, organizations, and events big or small! Added to design and printing we also offer social media management for small businesses with price packages that work with their specific needs.
I think I can say I’m proud of where we are today, but I do want to continue to change and create progress for our tiny team. When I go out with friends, and we head to a business run by one of our clients, and I get to see the menus we’ve worked on, I am quite proud and happy! Like a mom proud of her children’s artwork.
What sets me apart? I want to continue working with small businesses. I think no one will never deny a great business contract with a chain or a big company, but I think my heart is with the small businesses. Growing up in the restaurant business, watching my mom work every day in her restaurant, I think, shaped me to want to always be of service to the small business owners. I will hope that we can continue our relationship and all succeed together.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
The business would not have the foundation and strong clientele pool without the previous owner, our sales manager, and designers. They grew this company to the first phase that it needed to be at for me to be able to push it further to what we have today. I think specifically our sales manager. She has been the absolute iron bridge between us and our clients. She took care of the communication needed to get the clients’ visions out in the designs. Not only that but when I took over, she was the helping hand that I needed when it came to discussing changes and what the clients really want and need.
