Rising Stars: Meet Ron Geffen

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ron Geffen.

Hi Ron, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started in New York as a guitarist, playing in a band up until I was about 21. I started producing music around 17 years old and started getting into Video production around the age of 25. I moved to LA when I was 28, and life has been crazy since.

Music has taken me to many places, from traveling across the country to being on TV for the AGT quarter-finals to playing shows with Ed Sheeran and OAR – it’s been an exciting ride for sure! I currently focus full-time on producing rock and pop artists, and shooting their music videos as well!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I wouldn’t exactly say it’s been a smooth road, but it hasn’t been a bumpy one either. I’ve been very fortunate my whole life and id call myself very lucky, being surrounded by good people and opportunities that have always pushed me forward toward the next step in my career.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I write/produce/mix pop and rock music, and also shoot various video projects. My specialty is of course in the pop and rock world, and I’m known for a very fast turnaround when it comes to getting a job done! I always aim to make any project I’m a part of an easy and meaningful experience for myself and the artists I have the pleasure of working with.

I’m most proud of myself over anything else, due to the progress I continue to make in my fields, and excited to see how far I can go, taking my talents to new levels each day. What sets me apart from others in my field of work is how fast I can get the job done, and how uncomplicated I’m able to make things, especially for new artists who need a push, when no one else knows how to push them forwards correctly.

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
Covid has taught me a few lessons regarding people and their behaviors, not all for the best, but there’s a level of understanding and patience that comes along with new and scary things in the world.
