Today we’d like to introduce you to Reynissa Meza

Hi Reynissa, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Growing up I always had a passion for art, whether that was through makeup, drawing or painting its was just something I always enjoyed and knew I wanted to grow in. I started my nail art journey in July of 2023, after I had been introduced to nail art by my sister in law Daisy. She is an incredible artist herself and when she found out that I wanted to do nails, she was so excited to teach me all about nail art. In February of 2024 she started her own nail business and gave me the opportunity of becoming a Brand Ambassador! I can honestly say that without her support and motivation I would not be the artist I am today. Since starting my journey I have grown such a huge love for nail art, and even though some sets may take hours there is nothing more motivating than seeing my work come to life.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Although nail art has become a great passion of mine, it hasn’t always been a smooth road. One of my biggest challenges so far has definitely been pushing myself out of my comfort zone. I have always been a very introverted person and I’ve definitely struggled with putting myself out there. I was also never really big into social media but now being a nail artist and a brand ambassador social media has become such a big part of my world. Although social media isn’t always a positive place and can definitely be intimidating, it has also introduced me to so many amazing and supportive nail artists. Artists that have not only inspired me but also motivated me to put myself out there. Another challenge I constantly find myself struggling with is procrastination I am also a big procrastinator, and at times I can for sure overwhelm myself with a list of things to do, which eventually leads to none of those things getting done. I’m sure I’m not the only one who knows the feeling, but I’m working on it and I know that with time I will overcome these challenges! I hope that if there is anyone else facing the same challenges, that you know it is okay and you aren’t alone here! We all face our own challenges but as long as you’re working to overcome them, that is all that matters!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My name is Reynissa Meza, I am 21 years old and I am a nail artist here in Fresno, CA. I specialize in cartoon/detailed character nail art, 2d/3d nail art, and lettering. I am most known for my detailed 3d character nail sets, those have definitely been my most popular and proudest nail sets! I am very proud of myself for pushing myself out of my comfort zone to become the artist I am now and I am most proud of the art I’ve created in the time that I’ve been doing nails. Art has always been a great passion of mine and bringing that to nails has been such a cool skill I’m blessed to have! I am very passionate about what I do, I love creating art and seeing my work come together. Something that sets me apart from others is my drive to learn new things, I always like to expand my creativity and challenge myself to create sets/paint characters I’ve never done before. I don’t usually like to one specific style, I like to create whatever I’m in the mood to do that day!

Any big plans?
Some exciting news that I am really looking forward to, is that I am currently in the process of starting my very own press on nail business! With all the love and support I have received through social media, I have been motivated to start taking clients and start sharing my art with the world! I always get comments and messages from people asking where can they buy my nails or custom sets from, and in the beginning I had no plans of starting a business, but seeing those messages has made me realize just how many people love my work. It has been such a fun process designing business cards, coming up with themes and just seeing my visions come to life! I can’t wait to finally open shop and start taking orders from all over. Besides the business I am also just looking forward to growing, meeting more artists, and seeing where this all takes me!
