Rising Stars: Meet NAE JORDAN of Hollywood

Today we’d like to introduce you to NAE JORDAN

Hi NAE, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My name is Aljana Grayson, and I’m 27 years old, born and raised in Rancho Cucamonga. My journey began in the foster system at three years old. Despite facing challenges like losing my mom at seven and moving out on my own at 17, I remained active and fit. After a few setbacks, I surrounded myself with inspiring people and embarked on a new path. A close friend invited me to a camp, which turned into a pivotal experience.

Early in my fitness career, a friend nicknamed me “Jordan” due to my determination, reminiscent of Michael Jordan. This marked a turning point where I learned about personal development, nutrition, and creating a healthy lifestyle. I lost 40 pounds, improved my mental health, and got into the best shape of my life.

I moved to Los Angeles and trained part-time for six years while working in real estate. After a difficult breakup and a move to Miami, I returned to LA and restarted my journey. Initially, I was afraid to fully pursue my dreams as a coach and fitness enthusiast, but I gradually built a supportive community. What started with eight people hiking at Runyon Canyon has now grown to over 100 attendees, featuring guest speakers like DeVon Franklin.

Through our hikes, we promote the mind-body-soul connection, fostering a culture of unity and authenticity.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it has not been a smooth road. There have been many valleys along the way, but I have found strength in my faith. I firmly believe that God will never give me more than I can bear. Losing my mother was incredibly hard, and moving out at 17 meant learning a lot of life lessons early on. These challenges, though difficult, have shaped and saved my life.

Looking back, I realize the road was never meant to be easy, especially when you are called to a higher purpose. My testimony has become my power. It is no longer something I wish I could change but something I share with as many people as possible. I hope that others can find something valuable in my story.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a personal trainer and nutrition coach, and I am also the founder of Soul Hike LA. I specialize in helping people achieve lasting fitness results by emphasizing that it’s not just about a diet or a momentary change but a complete lifestyle transformation, starting with the heart and mind.

While I’ve assisted many individuals in achieving remarkable fitness results, what I am most proud of is the profound impact on their lives. I’ve seen my clients undergo significant transformations that ripple out to affect their families, friends, and anyone they interact with. What sets me apart is my holistic approach—understanding that how you do one thing is how you do everything. Watching my clients’ lives change for the better and witnessing their positive influence on others is what truly fulfills me.

Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
I am a personal development addict in my free time, and this is pretty much all I listen to. Here are a few of my favorite books and podcasts:

– **When You’re Ready, This Is How You Heal** by Brianna Wiest: One of my favorite books of all time.
– **Produced by Faith** by DeVon Franklin.
– **Relentless** by Tim Grover.
– **The Inky Johnson Serendipity Podcast**.
– **David Goggins**: I listen to him whenever I need to get out of a dark space.
– **Eric Thomas**, of course!

These resources have been instrumental in helping me do my best in life and work.
