Rising Stars: Meet Guy Langston

Today we’d like to introduce you to Guy Langston.

Hi Guy, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
I started off as a freestyle dancer which open up many doors for me in the entertainment industry. I went from a freestyler to a professional dancer to a professional choreographer. From there I got into fashion and acting after meeting a bunch of dope individuals on sets for music videos and movie shoots.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Now, nothing about this lifestyle was smooth. There’s no stability in this on the come up so you gotta grind your butt off and hopefully make rent every month. When I first moved to LA I was sleeping in my car, this is something that’s common among newbies to the industry.

Couch surfing and trying to figure out the next meal were all a part of the journey. Some people are not built for this shit cause it can be stressful and can put you in a depression. Put the plan is bigger than any of that. So I stuck to it.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
So I pretty much dabbled in everything haha. I started off as a dancer then I started doing music. After music, I got into acting and doing skits for my influencer friends. I think I’m most known for dancing but I’ve done so much I couldn’t even tell you what I was most known for.

A lot of people don’t know what I’ve don’t cause I don’t say but I’ve been in a bunch of music videos and I’ve also choreographed some for big and small artists. I’ve been in movies and other commercials. After all that I got into fashion and started my own streetwear brand called HONOR AND LEGACY which has been an uphill battle within itself. Lol.

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
Shit hell yeah! Save your money! And make sure you got things in order just Incase we have another world crisis.

Also, check in on your family and friends on a daily the world is getting crazy and things like this happen so let’s not wait until it does to cherish the people we love.
