Hi Mi-Tyme, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Mi-Tyme (pronounced My Time) is a 3 member R&b group. L and G are childhood friends and started their music journey growing up Chicago. K started his musical journey in Ohio and joined Mi-Tyme in 2007 after he relocated to Chicago. We actually connected through Myspace… for those who remember that era. Our love for music, especially R&b music, brought us together and created that brotherhood. It is one of the reasons why we reconnected, to continue to write, produce, create R&b and our legacy. We are located in both Los Angeles and Chicago.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We’ve had challenges along the way, and even went on a hiatus for several years. Within life’s journey and maturity comes change, balance, growth, and healing. Over the years, with the shift in sound and the industry, there are not too many R&b groups, but R&b lives on. Music is cathartic and part of our healing . We are excited to share our new project with you and to perform our new music!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We are a R&b trio. We have a unique style with elements from some our influences. We also write, produce and arrange our own music, which allows us to explore our creativity and voices. We take you on a R&b music journey about love, relationships, our struggles, triumphs and life.
What’s next?
We are excited to reconnect and continue to make quality music for the love of music. Creating is our expressive outlet, and we have been allowing our creativity to evolve with this project. We are in the midst of crafting our new project and have our lead single debuting very soon. We are also looking forward to performing and connecting with our supporters.
