Rising Stars: Meet Laron Jackson of Moreno Valley

Today we’d like to introduce you to Laron Jackson.

Hi Laron, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m Blvck lefty I started rapping seriously In the year of 2015 with a joint project called lifestyle with wavy c . Before that I freestyled at parties and in smoke sessions with homies and ppl started to get on me about taking music more seriously so I Did. I’ve had a journey of ups and downs with highlights being performing for young dolph at the observatory , cardi b in Pomona , The shatter cup festival headlined by the game , the DIY festival , and shows in Oakland and San Fran. I have several albums under my belt and plenty of show experience.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t always been smooth. Dealing with the way music is heading now with the streaming and navigating that road . And also times of having self doubt when i don’t hit certain numbers or just my overall position within the game of music

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m an artist and a writer . I specialize in song writing for not only just myself but others as well . I also help a lot with structuring songs and overall vision for albums . I’m most proud of all the different shows I’ve done and the people I’ve reached and have personally told me I’ve made a difference in their lives. What sets me apart from others is my distinct sound and flow.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Make sure you always deal with people who are genuine and have your best interests in mind . Character goes a long way before you even get into business with someone in a serious manner you should always watch how they treat people and how they treat themselves. You’ll come across a lot of leaches and snakes in this game so always be mindful of who really supports you and who just wants to be next to you just in case if you blow up
