Rising Stars: Meet Keyinda Jones

Today we’d like to introduce you to Keyinda Jones.

Hi Keyinda, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Keyinda, a student of our Universe and I would love to share a backstory of a young woman. During my developing years, I’ve met and lived very comfortably with my extremely low vibrational self. I was introduced to physical, emotional and mental abuse at a young age, it created anxiety which evolved to depression as years passed. I was completely stripped of my youth, left bare with no protection and guidance from a mother. I quickly mastered existing without being present and eventually lost my way. I stopped living. In late 2011, I began my spiritual journey. Everything I connected myself with was new, divine and refreshing. Books were speaking, the trees were green, the sun was vibrant and warm. Life was restored within my vessel. In the process of healing myself, I acknowledged my scarred inner child because she also needed to heal, be supported and uplifted. Every rising I’ll meditate, give thanks to God and commit to self + my journey. In 2016, I birthed my starseed, Gaia and the mother within self. Becoming a mother was natural, intuitively I knew how to protect, love and care for her. After birth, I found this internally deep gratitude + love for all mothers, babies and our birthing journey, my cup was and still is overflowing.

Years after, I worked as a mail carrier with crazy shifts of 12-14hrs/six days a week. I was so drained, exhausted, low energy, never seen my child due to work schedule and stressed out! I would often say, “I am not in alignment, this isn’t my purpose!” I kept having dreams of being hands on and a support to women/babies, everyday I would visualize my journey as a birth-worker.. a doula. I started to notice/embrace how powerful my divine resonation to women, babies and birth was. Immediately, I began training to become certified as a birth and 4th trimester (postpartum) doula. During quarantine I manifested, Sacred.Bond Doula Services + Essentials.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
This journey has definitely been a rollercoaster ride. Self-sabotaging and seeking validation/support from family that I once thought I needed has been the most challenging in the past. As I started to heal, validation/self-sabotaging, all things from lack and negativity was in the rearview. Instead of seeking outward, I began to look within and trust God.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Sacred.Bond offers a pack of modalities: doula services, sound healing, yoga + meditation and very soon, reiki and rebozo. In addition to my services, I offer essentials for homes + energies such as eucalyptus bundles, stones/crystals, energy cleansing kits, bath salts, and very soon, birth + postpartum care packages. I’ve been called and divinely guided to my purpose of being a service to women of all backgrounds, ethnicity, and religion. In all of supporting, advocating and creating divine connections around Los Angeles is beautiful. Restoring the sacredness in motherhood, and our birthing journey is vital and most important.
