Rising Stars: Meet Keyarh Pierson of Woodland Hills, CA

Today we’d like to introduce you to Keyarh Pierson

Hi Keyarh, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?

My name is Keyarh Pierson, and I’m 24 years old, born and raised in Woodland Hills, California. I had a different upbringing as my mom passed away when I was 2 years old. Growing up with my active father was tough, but I appreciate all the lessons and growth I experienced. Fortunately, I wasn’t alone. I grew up in a house with my three uncles and grandmother, and I have fond memories of that time.

My uncles introduced me to video games at a young age, and I found playing them therapeutic. I was also very active, participating in football, basketball, and track throughout my life. Sports taught me discipline, commitment, and the value of hard work.

After I stopped competing in sports daily, I struggled with “what to do next.” However, one thing that has stayed with me since childhood is my love for video games. I enjoy playing all types, including RPGs, action-adventure, sports, and turn-based games.

Currently, I stream on Twitch (KPTHEMYTHH), where I post content. My goal is to become a big-time streamer as well as a personal trainer, as I have developed a love for fitness. This wasn’t always the case, as at 22 I weighed only 135 pounds. I decided to change my life and overcome my insecurities about being called skinny or frail. Now in 2024, I’m proud of where I am and I love helping people conquer their insecurities through weight and hard work!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I’ve gone through struggles just like everyone else. I’ve always considered myself outgoing, but when the camera is on, I find it hard to not put myself in a box and be vulnerable to strangers. That has been one of my biggest struggles in terms of how I want to be perceived. As for the gym, where do I begin? I started out barely being able to lift 95 pounds, feeling insecure about my weight, and not knowing how to use the machines. What really helped me was the gym community itself; they are great people who are willing to help without judgment.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am currently a content creator and streamer on twitch as well as YouTube. I love gaming and I love to just upload my highlights since I have a passion for gaming. I like to think what sets me apart in the entertainment world is my ability to branch out into different avenues. From talking the best anime’s, sports prediction’s, video game reviews, or even the 10 best wrestlers.Theres lots of interest for different people to relate too. the ultimately goal is too laugh and create new experiences.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I’d like to think I’d just be very happy doing what I love. In the ideal world I would get paid for gaming and also personal fitness. God willing things work out that way. The biggest shift I see in the next decade is being financially free and providing for my family, and generations to come.
