Rising Stars: Meet JulezP

Today we’d like to introduce you to JulezP.

Hi JulezP, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Music has always been an integral part of my life growing up. My father worked in the entertainment business since I was born which kept consistently surrounded by musicians, entertainers, the big stage, and equipment. It wasn’t until high school that I found my passion in creating original music. In high school, St. Mark’s, located in Southborough, MA I took multiple production and music theory classes that I still apply to this day. These classes gave me the tools and confidence going into college in Philadelphia, PA. My freshman year, being in a new city I won an audition to open for one of my favorite artists, Mac Miller. From there I stuck with my passion and continued to DJ across the city and produce high-energy music.

Today I have played at some of the most covenant nightclubs, beach clubs, and festivals in the Northeast consisting of: Big Night Live, HQ2 Beachclub & Nightclub, The Boat Cruise Summer Series, The Ave, NOTO, Royale, Harrah’s Pool After Dark, and other nightclubs ranging all over the Northeast.

I have produced tracks that have over a quarter million streams on all major music streaming platforms. My production consists of high-energy house music to gut-punching bass music. I plan on releasing new music throughout the year of 2023.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
My father told me this saying since I was young, “If it was easy, everyone could do it.” The road is never easy and full of “no’s”, “not a right fit at this time”, and disappointment. I always used this as motivation to make better music and put on more creative sets. I have struggled with getting into certain clubs, but over time I persevered and had the incredible opportunity to play my music at these venues. I never gave up and am proud of myself to this day. There are a lot of “no’s” ahead, but plenty of “yes’s” that I use to motivate myself each and every day.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a producer/artists/DJ/Entertainer/Entrepreneur.

My fans, friends, and family would say I am known for my passionate, creative, interactive sets. Each show I bring new original music and edits that can only be heard at my shows. It is extremely important to me that I have interaction with the crowd. Everyone from the front, back, left, right, vip, staff, bartenders, bottle servers, and security.

What sets me apart from others is my original music and high-energy shows. Every city I play I take the time to do some research on the venue and crowd I’m playing to. I always stay true to my sound and incorporate songs with a twist that will get the crowd’s hands up, feet off the ground, and singing with their best friend or partner.

Any big plans?
My plans for the future is to continue playing at these incredible venues, release more music, and play at venues/festivals that I have not yet played.

I am most looking forward to hearing the response in people to my new music!
