Rising Stars: Meet Jonas Ganzoni of Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jonas Ganzoni

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I grew up in Venice Beach working alongside my Switzerland-born father. As an immigrant, he came here with nothing on his back except the knowledge of fine woodworking and a few hand tools. He started this company that I then joined about 15 years ago beginning as a shop sweeper, shop builder, site installer then making my way into the office estimating, maintaining all client communications, marketing and managing. We now run a successful small business fabricating some of Los Angeles most fantastic properties outfitting them with custom millwork and cabinetry. I love what I do and love how I got here! =)

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road was direct, but not smooth. Every business has it’s ups and downs, but you can only imagine what it’s like working with family.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
We are a custom cabinetry and architectural millwork studio that fabricates wildly beautiful and challenging woodwork pieces. We specialize in custom fabrication – if you dream it, we’ll build it! We mostly are known for our quality of craftsmanship, but more recently our service as a company that provides project management-level oversite and strong client communication. We’re most proud of the quality of our work and the level of attention we give to our projects and clients. What really sets us apart is our love for the craft – we do not just execute as fast as possible to turn a project over, but enjoy what we do and respect the process.

How do you think about luck?
A lot of luck has played a role, but I believe it’s more of a spiritual covering.
