Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
i think a career like this is based on growing experiences and the full commitment of going in one direction and there are always struggles or challenges on the way. our world had so many different challenges in recent years, like the pandemic, the writers strike, the budget situations in our industry and a huge push from the technological side. in other words the challenge is to stay present and relevant through good projects and interesting unique visions.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
i work as a director and dop and i am a creative person and i feel lucky to have the ability not only to focus on certain visions. soemtimes i dream ideas or sense them, i think thats for sure a superpower i have. there are a lot of ideas in my head. it is more challenging to filter them out. i shoot very special cars, like concept cars most likely with very artistic approches and visions. but not only this, i do art stuff experimental and shortfilms as well and i am a versatile musician.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
i think our industry is in a massive change, AI is knocking on the door and moves very quickly, there are a lot of budget restrictions and limitation wich make work different from ever before and you need to much more creative about projects and adaptive. i feel technology is always changing so we should take advantage instead of being against it. on the other hand i would like to see a limitation of our technological future, we need to stay true to our humanity and safe us, it is a very fast world. we are the managers of our lives and future. to all the humans out there the power of change is in our hands and we need to be much more present than ever before !
