Rising Stars: Meet Jina Park of Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jina Park

Hi Jina, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started my career as a tattoo artist in 2019. I’ve been painting whole my life since I was a kid. So I’ve been thinking about how I can use my paintings commercially other than exhibiting. And I wanted to get a technique that would not disappear. Until now, tattooing has been my best career in my life. I hope I can do tattooing as long as possible.
And I came to LA to continue my career and experience a bigger world.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t been smooth. I’ve faced countless conservative views, an unstable life, and fierce competition. I’ve endured through anxiety and losses, and I’m still fighting my own battles with them in my own way.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a tattoo artist. My artistic journey began with a deep foundation in Oriental painting, a discipline I studied extensively from high school through university in Korea.
Drawing inspiration from the natural world, I translate my perspective into works rich with vibrant and harmonious colors. I embarked on my career as a tattoo artist, cultivating a style that balances serenity and vitality.
I place the utmost importance on the quality of my work, followed closely by fostering meaningful connections with my clients. My goal is to infuse each piece I create with heartfelt emotion and dedicated craftsmanship, ensuring every tattoo is as unique and enduring as the story it represents.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
As I said before, my goal is to infuse each piece I create with heartfelt emotion and dedicated craftsmanship, ensuring every tattoo is as unique and enduring as the story it represents.
In a process that comes to life through human connection, I believe nothing is more important than this.
