Rising Stars: Meet Jamie Park of Santa Monica

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jamie Park.

Hi Jamie, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Jamie Park is currently the Celebrity Partnership Manager at Teen Cancer America (TCA), where she brings over two decades of experience building relationships and coordinating high-profile talent in the television industry. Her career includes work on iconic programs such as The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Access Hollywood, Hollywood Medium with Tyler Henry, and other popular talk and entertainment shows.

Beyond her television career, Jamie has always prioritized giving back, consistently using her industry connections to support charitable causes. For nearly six years, she volunteered with TCA—most notably contributing to its annual Backyard Concert in Pacific Palisades—before officially joining the organization full-time in 2022.

Jamie is thrilled to be stepping into an expanded role at Teen Cancer America starting July 2025, where she will also help oversee the organization’s music education program, Play It Back serving as the Program Manager. This powerful initiative serves adolescent and young adult (AYA) cancer patients and survivors, offering them a chance to explore the healing power of music.

Play It Back provides regular studio sessions focused on self-expression through songwriting, performing, and professional recording, along with health and wellness workshops and community-building events. For many young people, cancer can feel incredibly isolating and disempowering. This program helps them reclaim their voice—transforming their emotions and experiences into music that reflects who they are beyond their diagnosis.

More than just music, Play It Back fosters a vibrant, supportive community where participants can share, create, and heal together.

Jamie’s work is deeply personal. She is driven by the memory of a remarkable teenager who was like a sister to her and who bravely fought Ewing’s Sarcoma before passing away four years ago. Her legacy fuels Jamie’s unwavering dedication to improving the lives of young people impacted by cancer.

Jamie holds a double major in Communications and Music from UC San Diego.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Jamie’s path has not always been smooth. As many in the television industry know, TV productions often crew up quickly and then disband just as fast—leaving talented professionals searching for their next opportunity. Jamie however was fortunate to experience rare stability during her time at The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, where she spent over a decade honing her craft. However, such longevity is the exception, not the norm.

In late 2022, Jamie made the difficult decision to step away from her role at Access Hollywood to care for her beloved father, whose cognitive and health decline required her presence and support. While the choice to pause her television career was not easy, it ultimately led her to deepen her commitment to meaningful work—and to Teen Cancer America, where her passion and purpose have found a new home.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in Celebrity talent booking and talent relations. I have cultivated over 20 years of experience booking, building relationships and coordinating high-profile talent in the television industry. My career includes work on iconic programs such as The Tonight Show with Jay Leno (14 years), Access Hollywood (4 years), Hollywood Medium with Tyler Henry (3 Seasons), as well as other popular talk and entertainment shows.

I think what sets me apart is that beyond my television career, I have always prioritized giving back, consistently using my industry connections to support charitable causes. One of my favorite things has been getting Celebrity video messages or hospital visits for hospitalized children as needed/ requested to help lift their spirits.

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
Some of my fondest childhood memories are of summers in Hawaii with my family—sun-soaked days spent at the beach and by the pool with all of my cousins, followed by big family cookouts in my Uncle Billy’s backyard. We’d cool off with Matsumoto’s Shave Ice, pile into the back of my uncle’s pickup truck to sneak into the drive-in, and make beautiful Haku flower lei with my cousins and Aunty Brenda.

I also cherish memories of winters in Pennsylvania, sledding with my sister Shannon and taking years of ice skating lessons, dreaming of one day becoming an Olympic figure skater.

But above all, one of the greatest joys of my childhood—and still today—has been singing and spending quality time with my mom.
