Rising Stars: Meet Ivan Capasso of Covina, CA

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ivan Capasso

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
In 2013 we flew thousands of miles from our hometown in the south of Italy, left everything that was familiar to us, and embarked on a journey to fulfill our dreams.

We came to California with the hopes of opening a Neapolitan Pizza place and offering pizza with authenticity, freshness, and the perfect dough.

Opened in 2021, our hand-crafted pizza stand does just that, and brings a taste of Italy to the greater Los Angeles area. We are proud to share our passion and love with every client.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Like every business, it’s never easy, there’s always challenges & obstacles!

We started as a food stand on the side of the road, we got shut down 2 or 3 times due to health department regulations, and we were forced to get a food trailer!

Now after 4 years, we made 13th best pizza in USA & Canada, and 2nd in California!

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
What we are most known for is to have one of the most authentic Italian pizza in LA!
We do our best to deliver the best quality possible, and the most authentic as possible!
All of our ingredients are strictly imported from italy to keep its taste as close as possible to our home!

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Our pizza trailer has a gorgeous brick oven imported directly from Italy!
