Rising Stars: Meet Gregory Kopp

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gregory Kopp.

Hi Gregory , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Kopp Company began during the dot com explosion and the widespread adoption of the world wide web and internet. We created, copyrighted, and marketed the Human Resources Management Software system to clients worldwide. Due to our success, I was recruited by one of the nation’s largest bank-based financial services companies. I consulted with senior bank management and coordinated the implementation of corporate strategic initiatives. As a result, I was invited to join a multinational management consulting firm to lead financial forecasting and planning transformation initiatives. Currently, I perform social media recruiting for the world’s premier entertainment company based in California. My successful recruiting has resulted in over 1,700 talent submissions.

Stepping back from my full-time consulting role, I have focused on the writing and publication of my exciting “Kopp Chronicles” historical fiction series of novels. This sweeping saga is based on the true story of my family and details how an immigrant American family escapes from the chaos of European revolutions only to confront the turbulence and upheavals in their adopted country. Meanwhile, a dashing British detective and a beautiful French spy are entangled in royal palace intrigue alongside historical royal figures in this romantic and action-packed thrilling series. I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The dot com crash and the Great Recession were a difficult economic environment for my company’s software and consulting business, but with hard work and determination, we were able to thrive and succeed. Consequently, as I began to research and write my novels, I discovered these same types of struggles have historical parallels and I was determined to share them with my readers. Intermingled with romance, mystery, and action-packed thrilling elements, my novels mirror today’s cultural wars, social, and political climates and ultimately celebrate the triumph of the human spirit over all of life’s challenges!

In addition, author-oriented websites including BookLife, a website from Publishers Weekly, helped me market my novels to a worldwide audience. This website is an excellent resource for beginning authors and put me in touch with the Rightscenter’s Film Rights Directory (FRD) as I embark on the next stage of my creative journey, including translating my novels into movie and television series productions.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
An exciting and joyful result of my writing is the recognition I receive from my readers, other authors, and publishing entities via reviews, social media and award programs. My novels have received glowing reviews in “Publishers Weekly”, an international news website for book publishing, and in Readers’ Favorite, the fastest growing book review and award contest site on the Internet, respected by publishers Penguin Random House, Simon & Schuster, and Harper Collins.

The “Kopp Chronicles” novels have also been nominated for “Reader’s Choice Awards”, and recognized for “Book Cover of the Month” multiple times. Additionally, worldwide reader-focused websites spotlight or feature my novels as their “Book of the Day” quite often. And I am proud to be an Amazon & Goodreads 5-Star Author!

I am especially proud that the State of California public library systems and other worldwide libraries including New York, London, Hong Kong, Dublin, and more added the “Kopp Chronicles” or Spanish version of “Crónicas de Kopp” novels to their collections for their patrons to enjoy. Library patrons can now request the novels in Los Angeles, Orange County, San Francisco, San Jose, San Diego, Sacramento, Riverside County, San Bernardino County, and many more libraries through a variety of digital platforms. I am excited to announce my exciting “Kopp Chronicles” series of novels is now available on Apple audiobooks! The audiobook market is booming and we are excited to share our epic saga with a wider audience world wide using this this new technology. These narrated audiobooks bring my characters and plots to life in an intense manner as people listen to the stories while relaxing or performing other daily tasks. The next exciting volume, also based on a true story, of the powerful and epic “Kopp Chronicles” series will be coming out in the Fall of 2024!
