Today we’d like to introduce you to David Hardy.
Hi David, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started to fall in love with performing when I was in high school. With my first performance as Snoopy in “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown”. From that performance on, I have always wanted to continue to be on stage or in front of the camera for the rest of my life. I still have that feeling every time I have the opportunity to show that part of me, it’s one of the greatest feelings in the world and that’s to perform.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No it hasn’t been a smooth road… Remember 2020? JK. But seriously no and I do not think anything worth wild is supposed to be smooth,(Even though I wish it would be) Shoot it ain’t smooth currently, but it’s part of the journey and I am learning how to embrace it with a positive attitude. I am just glad that I am even on the journey to be honest.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a man that loves to make people laugh, think and have a good time. I have been doing improv since I was 13 years old and I also am a stand up comedian as well. I am very proud of how I make people feel during my act or even when I perform. I just want people to feel better after they see me.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
The only advice I can give is to be open to new opportunities. (Again something I am currently understanding)
