Rising Stars: Meet Courtney Stammler of Long Beach, CA 90814

Today we’d like to introduce you to Courtney Stammler.

Hi Courtney, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
This past year, I wrote a poem for International Women’s Day 2026 that reminded listeners, “I dance with you, for we are not done, we are just beginning.”

As I sit down to share my story, I am very conscious of the ways I am currently reinventing myself and therefore, “just beginning.” In this very moment, I am imagining the couples I can’t wait to meet and to assist them in bringing their love story to life!

As a Wedding Planner, I’m here to listen to the needs of my couples, and deliver their love story to their family and friends in a “live” experience- with pure authenticity, genuine heart, great skill and timing, attention to detail and priorities, total integrity to my craft, and immense honor and love to their commitment.

The road that brought me here is full of different cities, countries and careers. Of course, like most couples, the first wedding I ever planned was my own-many moons ago in France. I planned it from Paris, at a sweet venue in a tiny countryside village of Alsace called “La Petite Pierre” (the little stone) for American and French families with guests from all over the world. It was not only seamless and romantic, it was hugely touching for me to pour so much attention into an event that had so much intention: the beginning of my family. And I was doing it in a foreign country and foreign language with all the moving parts of a cross-Atlantic bi-cultural wedding.

Fast forward, years later, every birthday party I threw for my kids, from “Amazing Races” to biking scavenger hunts to “Fear Factors,” I would often hear from guests, “You should be an event planner.” Initially, I thought nothing of it. but it did settle into the back of my soul.

Meanwhile, professionally, I was simultaneously serving as a College English Professor, an International Programs Coordinator, a Conscious Dance and Meditation Instructor, Healing Arts Facilitator, and Sacred Ceremony Architect. Alongside, I was either hosting events or assisting friends with large events and each time, noticing how fulfilling they were to me because I love community. Bringing people together to share a precious occasion is the juice that jazzes me!

So for instance, I host Thanksgiving for my family, but I also host Friendsgiving for all my friends to not only honor our friendship but also to celebrate their talents by asking them to play music, read poetry, or fire dance, or do anything they wish to share. I believe that every occasion is a celebration of life!

Then it hit me. Having grown very tired of juggling too many jobs at once, I had to ask myself what I most enjoy doing. Easy answer: events. And then I asked myself: what kind of events should I focus on? It was also a clear and immediate answer: Weddings! Because they are so fun, so special and so meaningful. They might also be the only time all your favorite people are in the same space with a shared intention: and that is the space I want to be in!

Hence, Enchanted Events was born. Every day, I think about the couples I wish to serve and the pride I take in easing their stress and making their dream day a real day: an enchanting event that is forever etched in their hearts.

Couples are the writers, actors, and directors of their love story, and I get to be the producer. The one who listens, guides, strategizes, and executes. And then watch it all unfold according to their heartfelt scripts.

Of course, events can be stressful- particularly weddings with all the moving parts, alongside multi-generational family dynamics. But no matter your background, your culture, your age, your race, your budget, your love deserves to be celebrated and you deserve to be present. This is why every couple needs a Wedding Coordinator, to be fully present for the day and for the precious moments that truly matter.

And while that first wedding tucked away in a corner of France was a marriage that didn’t survive, my love for all the moving parts and players has. Now, with even greater skills and awareness, I get to bring that same level of joy and enthusiasm to your wedding!
Ironically today, many events and weddings later, I am delighted to be planning my own upcoming wedding with my fiancee, our children and joint families. I share this because it reminds me of why I treat every wedding as though it were my own!

I know the value of this day and that it only happens once. So with respect to every couple and love that exists, I can’t wait to hear your love story. And bring the story to life in your Enchanted Event.

When I’m not planning an event, you will find me on a local LA hiking trail or the dance floor or simply reading a book with a cup of tea absorbing the goodness of this grand life.

So please reach out and tell me how you got engaged and how I can support your wedding day!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I’m very good at connecting with people and taking care of them: I would much rather listen to a couple and address their needs than talk about myself.

That said, I’ve never been very active on social media and much of the wedding industry happens on social media. Additionally, as a Wedding Planner, or Educator, or Dance Instructor, I am used to holding space for others. I am not used to “selling myself”; that is also a big part of this industry and the area that I most need to learn and grow in.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I love to create; creativity is the spice of life and the juice of my veins.

As a Dance Instructor, I am creating a safe space for people to be in their bodies and move to their natural rhythms. I am curating play lists to take people on a journey of curiosity and play. Dance is one of my favorite mediums because the body is the instrument and we don’t need anything else other than music and a desire to move.

As an educator, no matter the subject, I am also holding space for students to learn; to explore their own creative potential, to dig deep, to search for the answers in a variety of ways and express their feelings and discoveries in the medium that is right for them.

As a Sacred Ceremony facilitator, I create a special moment in time for the participant to honor whatever is happening in their world: this may be a wedding shower, birth arrival, special birthday, life transition, career launch, or celebration of life.

As a Wedding Planner, I create answers to tricky questions. For instance, one couple wanted 350 guests to be part of a line dance entrance into the reception; We made it happen. I also create peace for the stressed out couple by helping them navigate the challenges. Most of all, I want to create a joyful experience for every person involved and this is done through collaboration and mutual vision.
Of course, I am most proud of my children and our shared strength as a family. The world can be cruel, and at the beginning and end of every day, I give gratitude for the people in my life.

(this is my favorite question, thank you for asking!)

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
My favorite part of Los Angeles is the diversity, the art and culture and the hiking trails.

My least favorite part is the absence of good public transportation and ease and affordability of getting around. Thankfully, I know many folks are working on it, so I think it will continue to improve!
