Rising Stars: Meet Carolina Mancias of Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Carolina Mancias

Carolina, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
From giving Oscar deserving performances on my shower I decided to take it out and actually pursue this as a career. Since I was little performing was something I loved to do, it wasn’t until high school that I started to get more involved in the performance world and decided that this was what I wanted to do, not only on stage or on camera but behind the scenes too, I just wanted to create stories and connect with people no matter the position. I moved to LA in the pursuit of making that dream a reality, going to college and studying Musical Theatre here in the city was such an eye opening for this industry and the love I have for it. It’s been a journey of growth that I can’t wait to keep developing and expanding through the years. And I’m so grateful I have the opportunity and support to explore it non stop.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Moving to a different country where the culture, values, and language are different from back home, makes everything harder. Not having your loved ones around and being more independent than I was used to has been a whole new chapter that life just throws at you.

Being in school was comforting because you were taught what to do and when. Now that I’m on my own, it’s up to me to take action in order to achieve my dreams and make the most of it. There’s no one holding your hand, which some days makes things easier and others much harder.

This industry is never a straight line, there are peaks and lows, but every challenge brings you closer to your goal. The key is to just keep going, as cliché as that may sound. When motivation starts slipping, you have to remember why you started in the first place and why you want to continue!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m an actor, singer, and creator exploring as much as I can of the entertainment industry while creating my own opportunities along the way. My background is in musical theatre and acting, which I’ve expanded into on-camera work, writing, film making and more. I specialize in bringing authenticity and emotional depth to my performances, whether on stage or screen, showing the truth behind every character and making a worth telling story.

What sets me apart is my cultural background and my deep sense of observation. I love to watch and absorb the world around me, people, interactions, small details in everyday life. That awareness helps me bring characters and stories to life in a more grounded, genuine way. Understanding human behavior and emotions on a deeper level allows me to craft performances that feel real and lived-in. As an artist I feel like it’s important to experience life that will give you more tools to apply them later on in your work.

One of the things I’m most proud of is my determination. Moving to LA to study and pursue my career was a huge leap into uncertainty, but I embraced the challenge. The journey hasn’t been easy, but I’ve faced every obstacle with resilience and an open heart, constantly learning and growing. Taking that risk, pushing forward despite the unknown, and carving my own path is something I hold close.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
Teamwork and collaboration is the heart of this industry. Whether it’s actors, writers, directors, musicians, or crew members, every project is a collective effort, and I love being part of that.

People can work with me in many ways, could be through acting, writing, or any other artistic collaboration. I’m always open to new projects and hearing new ideas! whether that means auditioning for roles, contributing to storytelling as a writer, or even exploring music and performance opportunities.

I enjoy working with creatives who are passionate about telling authentic, meaningful stories. Whether it’s indie films, theatre productions, or experimental projects, I’m excited to bring characters to life and contribute my perspective as both a performer and storyteller.

If someone wants to support my journey, following my work, sharing projects I’m involved in, or even just engaging in conversations about the industry and creativity means a lot. Every connection and opportunity helps shape this path, and I’m grateful for anyone who wants to be part of the process.
