Today we’d like to introduce you to Anneprettynesss.

Hi Anneprettyness, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My social media career started in Nov 2013, I love reviewing Makeup products so I decided to upload videos in YouTube. When one of my Instagram videos went viral https://www.instagram.com/p/BKru1AKBaJp/ I’d say is what paved my way up… It’s the Jamsu Technique… where you put tons of powder after applying your foundation then submerge your face to the water and then your makeup looks so flawless and lasts the whole day! That video was shared hundreds of times on IG and then YT and FB. I remember turning off my phone cause the notification was crazy! I was waking up with 5k IG followers in one day and soooo many comments and re-shares.. that’s when the Brands started contacting me for collaborations.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Honestly, it’s not easy to make it out there, the makeup community is so saturated, but one day if one of your videos go viral then that’s it! Instantly you’re famous! But it still won’t be easy, you need to keep uploading videos cause people will wanna see more…

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a Beauty Vlogger, I do a lot of Video tutorials from Makeup, Skincare, Nails, and even DIY Hair cutting to Hair Dye and also product reviews… I’m mostly active on Instagram stories, I try to post in there everyday and nowadays cause people are wearing Face Mask, I’ve been showing different Foundations and reviewing if they will transfer to the mask! I try to always post stuff where people can learn something. I’m actually known for my Creative Makeup looks… I don’t just post an easy breezy nude makeup look… my looks are kinda hard to recreate… and I think that’s what sets me apart from the other vloggers… and also I try to create looks from my own ideas… I don’t like copying from other people’s look, which is so usual on Instagram. I have so many moments that I’m proud of and one of them was the collaborations that I did with Ulta Beauty x Avengers Makeup Collection! I remember how my parents were so so proud of me that time!

And also another chapter in my career that I’m so proud of was my Makeup Seminar, it was held at the Embassy Suites-Hilton Glendale California, I had 27 Brand Sponsors on that seminar… I never thought I’d be teaching my Makeup techniques one day and for the huge Brands to sponsor me was unbelievable… And also last year, I won the Pop Beauty 2020 Pop-Halloween Grand Prize Winner and Moda Brushes 1st Runner Up Halloween Winner. It was also last year that one of my Tiktok videos went viral, it was the “Calling All Gucci Lovers”. And also in 2019, I was nominated for CEW Rising Influencer Awards. In 2018 I was also so proud when I won the Benefit Cosmetics Brow Challenge for Influencers Contest. And nowadays during this pandemic, I just realized how lucky I am to be one of those who’s always been invited by different Brands to their Events and I was able to meet some Celebrities and other Influencers through those Events.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
There’s tons of opportunities in LA! Especially if you do social media because most of the brands their headquarters are here in LA. I used to get invited to so many events here in LA, so I’m always able to try out the products that are just gonna launch…also I love the restaurants here and just so many places to enjoy like the mountains, parks and most esp the beaches! The only thing though is the heavy traffic! Other than that Los Angeles is the best!
