Today we’d like to introduce you to Alisa Schulz
Hi Alisa, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Thank you for having me! I’m an actor with over 30 years of experience in the entertainment industry. I’ve worked both in front of and behind the camera, which has given me a well-rounded perspective on storytelling , character development and the business.
Recently, I had the honor of playing Liz in No Address, a film that brings awareness to the homelessness crisis in America. The movie, set to release in Regal Cinemas on February 28, 2025, follows a group of individuals navigating life on the streets. Working on this project was an incredible experience not only because of the powerful story but also because of the incredible cast, including William Baldwin, Ashanti, Xander Berkeley, Beverly D’Angelo, Isabella Ferreira, Lucas Jade Zumann, Ty Pennington and many more.
My passion for acting has always been deeply rooted in my love for human connection. I am drawn to characters with depth, raw emotion, and a story that needs to be told. Whether it’s film, television, or theater, I thrive in roles that challenge me and allow me to bring authenticity to the screen.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The journey has been anything but smooth. Acting is an industry filled with rejection, self-doubt, and moments where you question everything. Early in my career, I struggled with confidence. I let the opinions of others shape how I saw myself and my talent. Over time, I realized that confidence doesn’t come from approval; it comes from trusting yourself and the work you put in.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is resilience. No matter how many auditions don’t go your way, you have to keep showing up. The right role, the right project, the right team, it all comes together when you stay committed to the process.
What should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Right now, my focus is on continuing to grow as an actor, taking on roles that push me emotionally and creatively. No Address is an important project for me, not just as an actor but as someone who cares deeply about social impact.
Outside of acting, I also work in the industry as a photographer and model scout, which gives me a unique perspective when preparing for roles. I have a solid understanding of what casting directors look for, how to bring depth to a character, and how to navigate the industry from multiple angles.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor in the acting industry?
Absolutely, never stop learning. Whether it’s taking an acting class, learning a new skill, working on indie projects, or simply observing great performances, growth is key.
Networking is also crucial. Social media is a powerful tool to connect with casting directors, actors, and industry professionals. ( I’m working on that) and yes, please follow me @alisaschulzactormodel.
I also host workshops where model / actors can build their craft and industry knowledge, so stay tuned for upcoming dates!
