Rising Stars: Meet Alan Luis of Los Angeles, CA

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alan Luis.

Hi Alan, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
FAH-Q started in our old front yard with a couple of highschool friends out of boredom and a nasty case of the wiggles. After a year’s hiatus and a few lineup changes, we’re ready to fully unleash the FAH-Q beast, let our creative juices flow, and tear it up!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I don’t believe anything worth pursuing is ever a smooth road, and the band is no exception. We’ve gone through many difficult creative departures, self doubt, bad shows, and LOTS of writer’s block. We’ve had many situations that seemed hopeless, but at the end of the day, we can’t stop doing what we love.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
We’re a punk metal band, and we’re known for our hectic performances and songs, We generally don’t take ourselves too seriously, some of our songs are about subjects we’re genuinely passionate about, while others are between the lines of crazy and stupid.

We’re very proud of how far our band has come. Our music style and performance has evolved. We’ve truly found a style and sound that we can call ours, and we truly value our friendship and bond among members.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
Guitar Hero.
