Meet Wendy Darling of Wendy Darling Photography in Santa Clarita

Today we’d like to introduce you to Wendy Darling.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I have always love taking photos, it was always something that interested me but, I never got into it until I met a couple photographer friends who really pushed me into following my passion.

I grew up in Southern California, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I love the people, everyone so different. I love the places. You can go up to the mountains and enjoy the snow and then go to the beach and enjoy the warm ocean breeze all in the same day!

I love being outdoors and taking in nature even if it is just sitting on my porch!

I specialize in newborn portraits but, I also love capturing growing bellies and sweet families!

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
There are definitely always struggles, I think that goes for everything. I Love the struggles though, they are what push me to do more and do better and constantly keep improving in business and in life in general!

Wendy Darling Photography – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Newborns are my absolute favorite to photograph, I enjoy every moment snuggling babies. Every facial expression they make, their tiny little fingers and toes just melt my heart! I am most proud of how much I improve each day. I learn something new every single session and I don’t think that will ever stop.

I think what sets me apart from others is the overwhelming joy I have each session, I seriously love it, it is not work to me! I am always so excited to take on each new session. Every baby is so completely different, every growing belly is completely different and beautiful. Every family is so unique. It is really my happy place in life!

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success to me is not about how many sessions I can get done in a lifetime or how much money I make. Success is creating memories for others and knowing that I am giving each family images that will last a lifetime. Moments pass so quickly, children grow up so fast. Pictures will last forever, to look back at every milestone in life!
