Today we’d like to introduce you to Victoria C. Scott.
Hi Victoria C., thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I grew up in East Molesey, Surrey — a place of mud and magic. My mum was an artist and teacher who encouraged us to play, and play remains my favorite way to learn anything. My dad was an outside thinker who loved to quote the 1968 counter-cultural movement in France: “Be realistic, demand the impossible.”
I immigrated to America with my sister, podcaster Zoe Scott, in 1997. Together we created a music label with a young investor, that adventure taught me how vision, courage, and tenacity can turn ideas into living, breathing projects. It was a brilliant time of producing music videos, writing songs, creating concerts, and traveling around the US and UK for radio promo tours.
Over the years, I’ve worked as both a creative and an organizer. I love blending the spiritual with the practical. I’ve moved through the worlds of music, fashion, design, and art — pretty much every corner of the creative industries. Now I am bringing that experience into Life Coaching, which feels like a very natural evolution.
The process of moving from one state to another — mental, physical, spiritual, or emotional — has always intrigued me. It’s been both a quest and a survival skill.
I like this experiment we call being alive. Like so many, I’ve navigated seasons of struggle with anxiety and depression, but those challenges have become my teachers. They have showed me how to transform energy into movement, stagnation into growth, and fear into purpose. Now, in coaching, I’m trained to create space and ask the right questions to support others through their own transformations — one step and one moment at a time.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Smooth? Does that exist for anyone?
I’ve known wonder lust seasons of flow and synchronicity — golden stretches where everything clicks — but I don’t think “smooth” lasts forever. My journey has had its steep climbs, fits, and bursts. I’ve faced loss, uncertainty, and fear, yet those moments usually deliver the deepest insights.
Life seems to reward me most when I’m in the ‘stretch’ — when I’m terrified but do it anyway. Singing live on TV in Mexico at 7 a.m. with my band The Blue Dolphins or showing up for my father as dementia reshaped his life — those moments remind me what being alive really means. Growth isn’t comfortable, but it’s vitalizing — and that’s where I find the joy spark.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
My current work is Life Coaching, a transformative and uplifting field I feel so privileged to have entered. It’s as if I spent years surrounded by people saying “No,” and now I’m in a world where everyone says, “Yes — go for it!” It’s a wonderful energy to be part of.
As a Solution-Focused Coach, I use methods that help clients access their own innate wisdom and clarity. Watching someone reconnect with their purpose and confidence is deeply fulfilling — and that’s why I do this work.
Alongside coaching, I’ve spent many years as a singer, songwriter, manager/coordinator, and creative producer. That creative spirit and artistic sensitivity now flow naturally into my coaching practice. I understand what it’s like to live from your imagination — and I help others turn that imagination into something tangible.
What’s next?
I’m really looking forward to facilitating a new six-week women’s workshop called Visualization and Actualization, beginning November 1st at The Well Lived Woman in Topanga Canyon.
How often do we have amazing ideas that just stay in our heads? This workshop is for women ready to bring their visions into the world and who would benefit from the powerful support of a group — whether that’s turning a sculpture into a full exhibition, transforming a personal practice into a professional one, or creating more harmonious family relationships.
Artists, entrepreneurs, chefs, mothers, grandmothers, gardeners, engineers — everyone is welcome!
Thank you so much for inviting me to do this interview — I love your magazine and the interesting people you feature.
