Today, we’d like to introduce you to Vee Montoya. Vee was introduced to us by the brilliant and talented Daisi Pollard Sepulveda.
Vee, can you walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I am a 24 year old creative director/consultant. I help brands grow through community building via their social media channels. I have been in the ecommerce + social media space for 3 years now and have worked with many celebrities + brands including Lebron James, Denzel Curry, Lobos 1707, Nike, Netflix, Jordan Brand, Crypto Punks, Stock X. How I got started was in 2016 I found the idea of growth through social media very exciting and interesting so I took it upon myself to learn online and grow my own social media. In the process of doing that I found creatives + friends who had opportunities in the Social Media space while also loving the content I was already creating. I started by managing the Lobos 1707 account which had 20k followers at the time. I had access to the twitter for the first month and 1 of the rules the founder gave me is that Lebron, Mav Carter + a couple other key companies HAD to be tagged in every post. I noticed that none of these accounts were interacting when tagged so I took a huge risk in taking my own strategies to get the interactions WITHOUT tagging them. It ended up working and Lebron + the crew started actually interacting + retweeting the memes and tweets i created. The Lobos team saw how my strategies worked and from then on gave me access to all the socials, within the next 8 months I grew over 30 million impressions across all socials, grew 80k followers on Instagram + created a community around an alcohol brand that has never been seen before. People were dming Lobos on instagram memes like if they were sending it to a close friend! I created so much engagement that when we did a collaboration with Ntwrk we had both of our accounts post the same video and even though they had 5x the amount of followers compared to Lobos 1707, our video had 80x more views + interaction. NOW THAT IS A COMMUNITY + GREAT ENGAGEMENT.

So, as we mentioned to our audience earlier, you were introduced to us by Daisi Pollard Sepulveda and we really admire them and what they’ve built. For folks who might not be as familiar, can you tell them a bit about your experience with Daisi.
Daisi and I became content partners when we were introduced by mutual friends. We wanted to work together for a long time and Art Basel presented the perfect opportunity for us to leverage our networks while we were there. We were involved in multiple events surrounding Art Basel, starting off with a Crypto Punks Event that Artivizt was contracted to make merch for. Since I spearheaded the development of their custom NFT chipped shirts for this specific event; I wanted to make sure we captured incredible content for our portfolio. I knew that working with Daisi to achieve this would be amazing. Together we were able to cultivate and capture this experiential event from multiple standpoints and further develop our relationships with leaders in the NFT + Crypto space.
Following the event, we seamlessly moved on to an exclusive LOBOS + STOCK X party hosted at the picturesque Miami Shore Golf Club, this is the place where we truly thrived, showcasing our expertise by crafting captivating content while simultaneously creating unique memories such as golfing like the pros + trying out lots of tasty cocktails + snacks. Everyone knows no Miami trip is complete without an elaborate + private mansion party, Star Island was calling and we were not going to miss on that opportunity either! We headed to Star Island the next day for an exclusive mansion party for Lobos 1707 + Cash App + Sunchips. This was the perfect playground to capture the harmonious intersection of Web 3, sports, entertainment and culture. We took a ride on the private Lobos branded boat, viewed the elaborate Web 3 Art competition gallery sponsored by Sunchips + watched many exotic fire performances while basking in the breathtaking Miami skyline.
Throughout the event Daisi and I were able to capture lots of content in terms of photos and videos that documented our entire experience at Art Basel from our perspective and our clients needs. Daisi and I have very different styles in terms of how we shoot, curate and distribute content. However, I think it’s very complimentary, especially during large scale events that require constant coverage. During and after Art Basel, Daisi and I pooled and shared our content ,using tags, mentions and geolocation tools to amplify each event. Throughout the multiday event we collaborated – appearing in each others content while also producing supporting content pieces that help narrate the events across social media channels for our Art Basel clients. Through becoming content partners with Daisi, we were able to increase our overall ROI for the Art Basel. Partnering with another creator that is also charismatic supported us in establishing and strengthening our brand relationships. It truly was an unforgettable experience and I can’t wait for the next opportunity to work with Daisi.
