Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My journey as an artist has been a gradual but persistent path shaped by my childhood experiences. Growing up, I was always sensitive to the world around me, and I felt a strong curiosity about the mysterious, the divine, and the supernatural. This early fascination planted the seeds for the themes I explore in my work today—themes of inner conflict, identity, and the complex emotions that define human relationships.

As a child, I was acutely aware of social expectations, especially those surrounding gender. Coming from a culture that often values sons over daughters, I experienced firsthand the subtle devaluation of women and the weight of family expectations. These dynamics taught me a lot about both love and restraint, shaping my understanding of relationships and ultimately influencing my art.

In my creative process, I try to capture these contrasts—light and dark, beauty and fragmentation, hope and melancholy. My work is a blend of painting and digital collage, often combining human and supernatural figures to express both inner turmoil and glimpses of beauty amidst chaos. I’m continuously evolving my style, inspired by a deep desire to question and reinterpret traditional artistic norms, using sculpture and other media to bring new dimensions to my pieces. Each step in my journey, from childhood sensitivities to exploring new techniques, has brought me closer to a style that feels true to my inner vision.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My journey has definitely had its challenges. It hasn’t been a smooth road, but each obstacle has ultimately shaped my artistic perspective in a meaningful way.

One of the biggest struggles has been navigating societal and familial expectations, especially as a woman from a culture that often values sons over daughters. Growing up, I felt the weight of these expectations—there was always this unspoken understanding that certain dreams or forms of self-expression might not align with what was expected of me. This internal conflict created a tension that still appears in my work, as I explore themes of identity and the complexities of gender and social expectations.

Another challenge has been the practical side of pursuing art. There’s an unpredictability that comes with choosing an artistic path, from financial stability to the constant pressure of self-doubt. For a long time, I struggled with finding my unique voice, feeling fragmented between different styles and influences. But over time, I came to see this sense of fragmentation as a strength—it allowed me to develop a style that reflects the very contrasts and contradictions I’ve experienced.

In the end, these challenges have driven me to push boundaries, both personally and artistically. They’ve helped me find a voice that speaks to the tension between darkness and beauty, capturing glimpses of hope and resilience even in the midst of struggle.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a visual artist driven by a deep love of creation and a fascination with capturing profound emotions. My work is rooted in an exploration of both the marvelous and the mysterious. Initially, painting was simply a joy—I loved immersing myself in a world of colors and lines. But over time, I realized that each brushstroke opened a door to a world that felt uniquely my own, where I could bring to life fantastical scenes and deep emotional landscapes.

In my art, I construct vivid, otherworldly settings that convey complex emotions—desire, fragmentation, destruction, and glimpses of pure beauty. I aim to create a resonance with viewers, inviting them to journey through the stories and emotions woven into each piece. My style often merges human and supernatural elements, drawing on themes of identity, inner conflict, and the tensions of cultural expectations. I strive to create work that both challenges and captivates, allowing people to feel deeply as they engage with the colors and lines.

What I’m most proud of is seeing my work exhibited in galleries where it can reach others. Knowing that my art has connected with people—sparking conversations, emotions, or even a sense of reflection—is incredibly fulfilling. I’m also proud of my persistence; the artistic journey isn’t always easy, yet I continue to create and evolve, fueled by my passion and a commitment to bringing new worlds and emotions to life on the canvas. This dedication to crafting and sharing deeply emotional experiences is what sets my work apart, and I believe it’s what will keep me creating for years to come.

What matters most to me is persistence, especially in my artistic journey. Art is a path full of challenges—doubts, setbacks, and moments when inspiration feels distant. But I believe that the strength to keep pushing forward, to continue creating despite these obstacles, is essential. This persistence fuels my growth as an artist, allowing me to dig deeper into my emotions, refine my craft, and bring new ideas to life.

Each piece I create reflects a part of my journey, and without the dedication to keep going, these worlds and emotions would remain unseen. Persistence isn’t just about resilience; it’s a commitment to my vision and to sharing my work with others. It’s what allows me to continuously explore and push the boundaries of what I can express, and I believe it will carry me forward in my art for years to come.
