Today we’d like to introduce you to Stina.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I grew up in a small town in the south of Sweden, moved to London after High School, and just recently moved to LA in September 2022. I fell in love with country music through Taylor Swift’s song Tim McGraw back in 2006, and the more country songs I hear, the more I love the genre.
I’m excited to see what my feature has in store and can’t wait to share more of my music with the world.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Is there such a thing in the music business? Haha, There has definitely been part of my journey that has been harder than others; getting the necessary visa, the pandemic, living far away from my loved ones, big opportunities that have fallen through, projects that never get released, and the list goes on. But at the end of the day, this dream of mine and the way to make it come true gives me a lot of joy. I love having a purpose and to have a goal as to where I’m going just makes me very happy.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am the Scandinavian country artist who can’t wait to take my place in the music industry. I write my own music about encounters that I have in my life and often share much more about my private life in my songs than anywhere else. Music has always been that necessary part of my life that just always has had the explanation, the part that always makes sense.
I’m proud of the fact that I keep going, that I do it just because it makes me happy. I’ve had performances in front of thousands of people, had my music played on the radio, and reached over 100 thousand streams, but neither of these is why I keep on going. I wanna be to someone what all these artists that I loved have been to me. Someone that comes out and sings exactly what it is that you need to hear, and suddenly everything makes sense.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
When you, yourself feel like you are successful. Keep your goals close to you, and try not to compare yourself too much to others. If your goals have been reached then you’ve succeeded, even if the goals has been changed along the way.
