Today we’d like to introduce you to Steve Belleville.
Steve Belleville reflects the “American Dream.” A self-made entrepreneur, Steve knew nothing about jewelry when he first launched Mystery Heart Jewelry, except that gold and diamonds are expensive. Steve created his first jewelry design in February 2014, but not by sketching or casting, like most in the jewelry business do. Rather, Steve drew his first idea on paper and then cut a mold out of a business card to see if his idea would work.
Once assured his invention was feasible, Steve retained experienced legal counsel to oversee and manage his company’s business and intellectual property matters, and then set out to turn his proprietary designs into brand Unquestionable Love®.
Steve’s career as an innovative entrepreneur began decades ago. In 1975, while still in high school, Steve launched a business of installing draperies and began honing his creative skills and talent. By 1979, Steve was manufacturing custom draperies and soft home furnishings out of his SoCal garage, and in 1986 Steve took the ultimate entrepreneur’s plunge and opened a retail store where he engaged with clients, designing, manufacturing and installing soft home decor.
Steve’s interior design projects appear in important homes across much of Southern California. He has also done several design showcases such as “Pasadena Design House,” “Whittier Design House.” “Upland Design House” and also has designed custom projects for residences in New York and Hawaii. Noteworthy clients include Bill Shoemaker (the Jockey) in Altadena, CA; Marko Castaneda (Jockey) in Monrovia, CA, Mrs. Kelley (Kelley
Bluebook) in Huntington Harbor, CA, and Mr. & Mrs. Jack Brown (Stater Brothers Grocery Stores) in Redlands. CA.
Today, Steve is committed to both or creative businesses, and devotes much of his energy to the launch and growth of the Unquestionable Love® Collection and the Mystery Heart Jewelry Company. Steve is married to Darlene Uphold, the lucky lady who inspired his original jewelry design – for whom he answered that pivotal question with the original Mystery Heart Pendant with the “Without Question I Will Always Love You™”

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Nothing is easy, if you work hard the rewards should be large enough to enjoy your life. When coming up with a new project is difficult but don’t give up.
Finding reliable resources in the industries and try lots of research online 3 years’ worth may have paid off for me.

I like to call myself an Entrepreneur, I have been self-employed all my life and love to be creative.
I manage, develop and research new products for the future.
I am known for developing unique proprietary jewelry designs.
I am most proud of developing a brand called “Unquestionable Love®” in jewelry industry and will be in large retail stores as well as other smaller jewelry stores around you in the USA.
My way of thinking outside the box sets me apart from others.
What were you like growing up?
I did not enjoy ball sports but I enjoyed other sports like backpacking, hunting and other outside activities. I always like to tinker with everything. Had a few close friends and not a social person. Started working at 14 years old, and was self-employed at 21.
