Meet Stephen Seanoa of TUPUA Productions in Orange County

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephen Seanoa.

Stephen, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My parents owned a Polynesian Entertainment Group “Tiare Productions” in Huntington Beach, I grew up in this industry and decided to continue my father’s (who’s passed away 2yrs ago) legacy. I started in 2006 when my parents retired, and have grown from 6 dancers to about 85+ dancers.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Some struggles along the way:

1. Building up clientele-building their confidence in our services and striving to have them use our services annually.

2. Because there are many groups here in California and worldwide-trying to get students interested in joining our group. We go out and do many public and private shows and gain many of our students this way, and also by word of mouth.

3. Rehearsal Space. We started at my sister’s house, to 2yrs renting the green room at Sound Matrix in Fountain Valley, to 7 yrs. renting space at South Coast Kick Boxing in Costa Mesa, and finally finding our own space in 2016 in Santa Ana.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about TUPUA Productions – what should we know?
We are a family owned Polynesian Entertainment Company. We specialize in Everything Polynesian that has to do with entertainment.

What sets us apart-we go above and beyond for our clients. They ask for 2 dancers we bring them 4 or 5.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Being reliable, dependable or trustworthy both in class and on stage.
