Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Hamadto.

Stephanie Hamadto

Hi Stephanie, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I actually began my career hairdressing 20 years ago. By the time I was 27 I owned a salon in Santa Monica. My building was sold to a new landlord who DOUBLED the rent and after a great five-year run, I was unable to keep it open. I had to rebuild my business as a solo preneur. Within a year I was back to a stable place financially in business and decided to create a coaching program for other hairdressers who were looking to grow and build their businesses. I shared the tools I used to build and rebuild my business over the years.

During the pandemic, hairdressers were not working. That was the point that I pivoted from salon business coaching to personal growth coaching. I led multiple group programs, and through that I was hired to coach a group of corporate managers. The program Team Power emerged through this opportunity. I currently offer coaching for hairdressers, personal growth, and/or corporate teams. I will be hosting my first in-person day retreat in May for recharging, empowerment, elevation and self-love. I feel lit up by the idea of having a positive impact in people’s lives. I feel like my purpose, in part, is supporting others and letting them know they’re not alone and that they matter.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Great question! Building a business is not without its challenges. I have had to learn the art of pivot and bounce back. The first big lesson in this was when my salon closed in 2017. I rose from the ashes so to speak. This time, I was starting with wisdom, experience, and grit. The next hit was with the COVID-19 shutdown in 2020. Having been through an unexpected closure before, I knew it was time to pivot. Rather than losing time and energy, wishing things were different, I extended coaching to accommodate a much bigger reach. I think this lesson in pivot and surrender has been a major key to success. Your vision may not unfold how you think it’s going to, but if you trust the process, it will take you to where you need to be.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m very passionate about sharing tools for success with others. I love meeting other growth-minded people who are open to new ideas and ready for overall elevation. I lead virtual coaching programs for individuals, groups and professional teams. These groups focus on letting go of self doubt and aiming for higher levels of joy and fulfillment. I work with people from various backgrounds and industries and cater to the specific needs if my clients. My first in person retreat is also just the beginning of the next expansion for this helping journey.

We love surprises, fun facts, and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
One thing people might not know about me is that I do yoga almost every day. I am studying a yoga teacher training program in my free time because I am passionate about the mind body connection, and all of the positive values in a yoga practice. I’m also a mom of two beautiful girls. I aim to model a healthy lifestyle, self-love and fulfillment for them so that they will have the framework to live their best life as they grow up.
