Today we’d like to introduce you to Staci Nichols.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started DJing in 2009 when a guy I was dating (who DJed on the side) invited me to one of his gigs.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It was a hard transition taking my DJing full-time. It’s a big leap. It forced me to learn about marketing and packaging and to get more training and better equipment.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about DJ Staci – what should we know?
I’m a full-time, professionally-trained mobile DJ and MC. I specialize in country music and bilingual events (English/Spanish). I am also known for my writing in the DJ community (I write for “Mobile Beat” magazine and “BookMoreBrides.com“…and based on my marketing expertise will be speaking at the upcoming Wedding MBA conference in Las Vegas).
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Hard work, dedication to self-improvement, not being afraid to claim a niche that might not be “sexy” or “popular” (be yourself!).
