Skye, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
How I started: The path I am on in my life, chose me. I have been playing piano since I could crawl. I’ve been published as a poet since my teens. I have owned a business teaching music, I have written and recorded countless songs, and am pending my 4th album release in 2020. My entire world is music, performance, acting, writing, and getting my message out there. My back story includes formal training, in addition to being self taught. No one can teach you enthusiasm and passion, you either have that or you don’t. My passion for this path is what also inspired me to dig deeper, learn more, and as a piano player, songwriter, and vocalist, really expand and go to the next level. I am intrigued and forever in awe of the fact that in music there is so much possibility. The piano is my alter, and has been for mostly all my life. There is a limitless combination of chords, key, and patterns that can come together to create a symphony, whether it is rock, or singer songwriter… regardless of the genre.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I will be honest-any struggles are often my own demons, such as impatience. I envision things beginning to end but the process of waiting from A to B can annoy me lol. The process of songwriting and performing is absolutely, every time a smooth road for me always, and something I do naturally. It is like channeling or being in a trance. That is and always has been for me effortless.

My business- skyedelamey.com brings to the world my music links, tour dates, special appearances, articles, etc. It also entails an online store where people can purchase my ongoing and expanding merchandise Most recently, I have launched a clothing line called “Skye Delamey Brands, featuring everything from shirts and hoodies to dog themed purses!

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
If you know in your heart you gave it your all, and you were true to your cause-the show, the performance, song, etc in my case. But in any field-integrity means a lot. There is integrity in knowing you were truthful and gave it your all. Contributing the best of yourself in any field, to me is one example of success.
