Meet Sharon Scott of Sharin’ Scent

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sharon Scott.

Hi Sharon, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My story is just like everyone else’s story that with through quarantine not knowing if they have a job or not after it’s over. 2020 hit us hard! Luckily, I was able to go back to my daily job which I have been working there for 15 years but I always had that worry in the back of my mind of being laid off in the future. My good friend and co-worker introduced me to the Scentsy life.

Scentsy is wick-less candles and scented fragrance wax for electric candle warmers and scented natural oils and diffusers. I have used it in the past but never thought about selling it. Then I remembered quarantine and I need a second income just in case. April 2022, I started to sale Scentsy with the help of my good friend. I realized that online sales are very hard to come by if you don’t know your customers so I started to do pop-ups at market nights. Since I have started, I have done over 100 pop-up events. I love how I get to meet new people and share Scentsy with others.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has not been a smooth road. Scentsy is mainly online and there are consultants everywhere. Over 10 consultants that work with me alone. I knew for my business to take off, I need to get my face out in the world. I start my social media but still, I didn’t stand out. That’s why I started to attend farmer’s markets and market nights!

We’ve been impressed with Sharin’ Scent, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’m a certified independent consultant for Scentsy. Scentsy is a Wick-less candles and scented fragrance wax for electric candle warmers and scented natural oils and diffusers. Sharin Scent is known at the local market events with all your Scentsy needs. I’m most proud of conquering my feelings of deciding to sell Scentsy. I became really good at it. What sets me apart from the other consultants is I do pop-ups event almost every weekend. I’m not just available online.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Sharin’ Scent doesn’t just provide you with all your latest Scentsy needs but because of my networking skills, I am able to provide you with discontinued products. I have networked with hundreds of other consultants to provide products for my guests all the world. I won’t stop until I please my guests because I treat them like family.
